Easy walk up, but really nice to get into nature a little bit!
Be there early and park yourself at a good spot because the crowd tends to get unruly and queuing will be in vain.

Goryokaku park is fully bloom with cherry trees, beautiful and best sakura view with rows of cherry trees combines with the Goryokaku tower and stream around the fort, it is a perfect view.
I particularly enjoyed visiting the rebuilt fort office in the middle of the little island in the park as it gave us so many insights into the history of the fort and just the Japanese architecture if it was amazing.
