What travellers are saying
- KamelmatPerth, Australia104 contributionsApparently it’s one of the places to visit whilst in the Cameron Highlands. Don’t ben conned that you need a four wheel drive to make the climb, the average small car can complete the trip with ease. If you struggle with stairs this tour is not for you otherwise it is enjoyable. Didn’t have any issues with mosquitoes who normally love me.Written 9 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. 1- The best place for those who love flowers, due to diverse a lot of flowers and petals.
2- You can also write your wish on a medallion and hang it on the wish tree.
3- Maybe you would like to buy some chocolate or memories from their store 😁.
4- You and your partner will take a picture in the end of way inside the farm definitely.Written 29 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The entrance now is at Jalan Jasar. Do not pass through Convent School at the left. It should be Jalan Jasar at the right .Written 11 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SR LimRaub, Malaysia7 contributionsImprove a lot compare to my last visit about 2 years ago. More souvenir shop operating. Unfortunately, it's not the harvesting season. We didn't get to pluck the strawberry ourselves. The on sale strawberry are not so fresh too but still pricy. Quite disappointed.Written 1 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- May FLoveland, CO2,448 contributionsGreat fun for the kids to pick strawberries and explore. They charge you for picking the strawberries and weight them. There is a also a cafe and souvenir shop.Written 6 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jiří M44 contributionsWe did the trail yesterday. The employees of our guesthouse told us that the path has been closed for over a year. Needles to say we didn't take their word for it. They run a tour company too, so I guess they just want to discourage people from doing the activities on their own.
Navigating the trail is quite easy - jut get yourself maps.me app and a phone with GPS and you're all set.
If you can't get those, there are dozens of small yellow reflection signs nailed to the trees along the path + occasional red-and-white ribbons. Moreover there are several large yellow signposts marking the checkpoints (they contain GPS coordinates and emergency contacts among other information). If you have ever been to a forest and pay attention at least a little, you can't really get lost. The start of the trail is arguably hardest to find (without maps.me). It diverges from the main road to the right about 70 metres before the water facility and it heads straight up to the deep forest. There is no official sign marking the start here though only a letter attached to a tree saying the path was closed during rain season (till the end of January).
Most of the trail is just regular hiking, however, the last part - going up and down from Gunung Brinchang Barat (the first hilltop you encounter) - was steep and very muddy.
The trail ends at the gate blocking the way to Gunung Brinchang (you can see the Mossy Forest parking lot from there on the right). You can easily climb the gate (and it actually wasn't even locked) and reach the top in ten minutes.
It took us nearly four hours to finish the trail, but we were stopping often and aren't particularly fast hikers in general. I figure one can easily make it in under two hours. We met just one other tourist along the way.
The way down through the tea plantations was a real treat!Written 16 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Gunung Brinchang is a famous tourist attraction and the road to go up is a bit curvy and you need to drive carefully. Up there are some of the best views you can get which make you feel the drive was worth it. Must go place..Written 17 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Keith LSingapore, Singapore373 contributionsThis market has grown a lot over the past 20-30 years. It is big enough to have buggies to bring customers form the carpark to the main market and has 2-3 stops. The market is also split to several areas. Most of the areas are selling fresh vegetables like corn and strawberries. There are other produce like tomatoes, brinjals, sweet potatoes etc. Other areas have clothes, tea, snacks and toys. Many stalls selling the same stuff.Written 20 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- pianocelloShah Alam, Malaysia1,909 contributionsThe ticket price is inexpensive and there are lots of things to see. The flower section is good. Fruit and vegetable sections look sad and the butterfly farm had barely any butterflies. This is best visited in the early morning or late afternoon when it is not too hot.Written 31 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - pianocelloShah Alam, Malaysia1,909 contributionsDecent place to take pictures. Be aware that there are many stairs to climb. Parking can be a hassle as it goes through a narrow road.Written 27 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KY GKuala Lumpur, Malaysia7,076 contributionsWe did the trans jerging hike this time. Starting at G Siku trailhead heading to G Irau and then to Yellow pass and exit. About 20-25km. Took almost 15 hours longest hike in my life and in darkness. View and journey was great. Maybe to split this into 2 hikes in future. 1 water point right after G Siku and then its all work.
Bring a lightweight jacket as chilly during hike and will be useful is rain comes.
Bring another new t-shirt or jacket for end of journey if you going to be stationary as its really cold in the late evening.Written 26 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
