What travellers are saying
- ailee c1 contributionI was there with a group of students. The hot springs were fun although I am not sure how natural it is now, as there are many more pools available than 10 years ago. The fire show was unexpected and truly impressive. The whole team did a wonderful job with the choreography. The staff at the hotel were friendly and very helpful. A special shoutout to a young man named Naqi. He was incredibly helpful and friendly from the moment we arrived until we checked out.Written 20 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve RBolton, UK600 contributionsIf you're in the area then you should definitely visit Perak Tong. It's one of a few temples within a cave in Malaysia and has a relaxed and thought provoking vibe to it. I can recommend it but only for an hour or so.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- melanietanToronto, Canada4 contributionsThe traditional old packaging of Ho Yan Hor herbal tea was well known during our childhood time. It was good for cold relief. I was visiting Ipoh and saw this Ho Yan Hor Museum by chance as it wasn't on our itinerary. A few friends in our group decided to visit this museum out of curiosity. It was an impressive story about the founder, how he started the home business and expending to a big factory and how he promoted the business to a big skill in the whole country. His son taken over the business at the later stage and take the business to the next level. We enjoyed the visit and also tasted the delicious sample tea and bought some herbal tea to take home. Highly recommended Ho Yan Hor Museum.Written 16 March 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- N DLincolnshire, UK1,621 contributionsIt probably isn’t one of the most impressive cave temples but it is one of the oldest. There’s a garden in front and you walk through to another garden and temple at the back.Written 26 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - LeonhknyHong Kong, China23,959 contributionsWhile Penang has long been well-known for street art, Ipoh also has its fair share of murals. Interesting paintings depicting daily life of Ipoh residents are available in the old town. Searching for artworks while exploring the former mining city is an enjoyable experience.Written 21 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Not exactly zipping around on Zodiaks but it is a fun boat ride.
The lakes, a Kinta Valley fare.
The coffee place, there are two - one across from the small jetty where the lake tour starts. One further up - go up! - Y.BPetaling Jaya, Malaysia88 contributionsThere is not much to visit unless you are photogenic or have kids then you can consider this place. You may take the boat to cross the lake to visit. The cost will be RM3 per person. There are few animals to visit if you cross the lake. And need to wait for the return boat if you are too bored to visit there. The man-made waterfall is closed for a visit. So nothing much to visit here. For us is a waste of time to wait for the boat.Written 13 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
