Went there with my sister. One of the staff(guy) helped us took picture. Big thumbs up for him 😍😍 Worth the price because there are a lot of different tricks art and the staff is really nice.
Good starting point to learn about Ipoh and tin mining history. Pare it with IpohWorld and a walk down Concubine Lane. Or a good rainy day activity for an hour. Cost RM10 for an audio guide which didn't really work well and you get as much info just reading the plaques.
Always passed by this mall when we are in Ipoh, its very centralized location made it a must stop. Although the mall is not big, its quite a nice place to go to, if you need to buy some clothes or go to Parkson, or to the restaurants for some food.
Went here around 7.15 pm one night, merchandise stalls still setting up. Restaurants were full. Went another night around 9.30pm. All stalls up. No food stalls only drinks and ice cream and restaurants.
Enough parking for everyone (paid parking now). Good selections if you shopping for food, but not clothes. Price is affordable, definitely for middle class workers and below.
Fascinating murals of life in earlier times in Ipoh. 5 Ringgit entry. Lady in charge of museum spoke little English but was enthusiastic and helpful. Would be good if there were an explanatory booklet. Worth a visit.
There was a huge q when i arrived at the shop. Didnt know that it was a public holiday in Msia as well, so huge crowds. Bought a few boxes of the handmade biscuits, some crackers and nuts.
Staffs are friendly! Tried their vegetarian lunch set , which is very flavourful and tasty . Their desserts are not overly sweet , perfect to my taste , will come again :)
Was disappointed with the owner who was so arrogant and couldn’t care less. It was just local white coffee. Wouldn’t come anymore. Isn’t worth the trip at all.
What an interesting set up! A book store in an old bank vault. We stumbled upon this after lunch and there is a wide selection of books for all ages plus it is also a tourist spot as you can go down into the basement and see the different vault rooms and the old safety deposit boxes etc. Very cool concept indeed! A must visit while in Ipoh! There is also a room (Yasmin at Kong Heng) dedicated to Yasmin Ahmad, a Malaysian photographer - do stop by here too! By the way, we did buy a book while enjoying the place.
Kacang Putih is the best. I buy at this shop for decade. The owners are family based business and they are very friendly. MUST GO PLACE TO BUY KACANG PUTIH.
We found this shop at Concubine Lane. The ground floor is a soveneir shop but the upper floors are gallery with displays of old furniture and collections. In a way it brings us back in memory to our childhood days. On the top most floor are mirrors where our images gets distorted (funny). There is a freewill contribution at the way up.
Visited the shop and was given a very warm welcome by the outlet staff. They let you try the chocolates and give good recommendations according to your tastebuds and liking. Melts so deliciously and full of cocoa butter chocolates...a must visit place in Ipoh, Old Town.
