    Home made biscuits
    Had to come early to get parking space . The famous meat floss and lotus filling was great and thank you to the auntie who recommended the Hawaiian macadamia nut biscuits and it was good. Will definitely come back again to buy it again when i visit Ipoh

    Highlight of our Trip!
    The best place to visit to try traditional and authentic teas and desserts. We had alot of tea in ipoh, this place left a lasting impression, the white flower tea, perfect purple ang ku kueh and the cheese cake tea set for 2 was a delight and the best part was that it was vegetarian (desserts without any eggs). Its a must try and if I could I would definitely visit again.

    The last time.
    Was disappointed with the owner who was so arrogant and couldn’t care less. It was just local white coffee. Wouldn’t come anymore. Isn’t worth the trip at all.

    The books are very "safe" here !!
    What an interesting set up! A book store in an old bank vault. We stumbled upon this after lunch and there is a wide selection of books for all ages plus it is also a tourist spot as you can go down into the basement and see the different vault rooms and the old safety deposit boxes etc. Very cool concept indeed! A must visit while in Ipoh! There is also a room (Yasmin at Kong Heng) dedicated to Yasmin Ahmad, a Malaysian photographer - do stop by here too! By the way, we did buy a book while enjoying the place.

    My regular.
    Kacang Putih is the best. I buy at this shop for decade. The owners are family based business and they are very friendly. MUST GO PLACE TO BUY KACANG PUTIH.

    Interesting Retro Shop cum gallery at Concubine Lane
    We found this shop at Concubine Lane. The ground floor is a soveneir shop but the upper floors are gallery with displays of old furniture and collections. In a way it brings us back in memory to our childhood days. On the top most floor are mirrors where our images gets distorted (funny). There is a freewill contribution at the way up.

    Amazing chocolates...simply too irresistable....must try must purchase...
    Visited the shop and was given a very warm welcome by the outlet staff. They let you try the chocolates and give good recommendations according to your tastebuds and liking. Melts so deliciously and full of cocoa butter chocolates...a must visit place in Ipoh, Old Town.

    good souvenirs
    i love how helpful and friendly is the staff here, they will just explain everything that you're interested to know. Even gave me a free map of ipoh. Do check out their handmade good part far inside. The goods are made by local crafters where some are single mom and some are cancer patients.
