- Seng100Boston, MA211 contributionsRevisited the hot springs 30 years later but now as a new and beautifully landscaped full-service retreat. Arrival was met by genuinely warm staff who whisked us to our suite with both a private dipping pool and hot spring tub. Room was nicely decorated and adorned, although somewhat eclectically, but with all the amenities that a modern traveller would expect from a high-end resort, viz. multiple charging stations and super-fast wifi that permitted unfettered zooming. Our suite had access to a dining table and large and comfortable sitting area that allowed us to entertain visitors. Bed and bathroom areas were well laid out, spacious, and comfortable; everything worked well and products were of high quality. Access to a private hot spring pool was a nice feature that we partook and enjoyed frequently. There were 2 TVs but the selection and quality of the programs were poor. The property had a number of interesting caves that provided some distraction and entertainment and arguably instagram-able pictures. Partook a "long" session at the spa facility, which lay-out was also very nicely designed - however, service provided was below expectations; I sensed the masseur's discomfort with what she was doing. Ate at the Pomelo restaurant for breakfast and 1 dinner that provided a wide selection of local dishes. The offerings were tasteful but could be of a much higher quality - that reflects the reputation of the renowned Ipoh restaurants. Overall, a very good experience and would revisit if looking for a quiet getaway. Space is basic, don't expect posh but it's clean and comfortable enough.
The masseuses I had for foot reflexology Mr Weng and his wife Kuen who did my body massage were both brilliant. Great skills and nice personality.
Front desk staff are helpful and pleasant as well.

It is MYR158 but was discounted to MYR138 during happy hour. The massage was okay, but the room was super cold and I had to tell the staff to turn off the aircon. My husband and I (this was our "mini moon") spent a Couple of days here and this morning (on our last day) decided to get a couples massage from the get go - it was such an amazing relaxing experience - my husband had never had a professional BORNEO MASSAGE before and he enjoyed it quite a lot. - we felt so relaxed we didn't want to drive home and could have easily slept the day away in your spa room sebab nampak bersih dan selesa like room hotel 5star ! Thank you so very much for everything ladies ! Staff yang sangat friendly and sporting habis. Keep it up ladies ! Uolls should try macam2 treatment ada. (They have off peak hours from 10 am to 2 pm where the price is cheaper by a few ringgit) Its a clean place - all masseuse are female Thai. I asked for a strong masseuse but she has no strength. Its not acupoint focus, merely applying the oil with medicated scent on the feet and legs with light pressure. If you're expecting the likes of foot reflexology, this is not the place to go. N.B. - 1mightymouseFootscray, Australia2,160 contributionsmy first impression of the place was that it looked upmarket, plush and clean, housed in a timber building. i had a one hour massage, which surprisingly turned out to be a thai massage. she was not fluid, quite jerky, chatted a lot asking every 5 minutes if i was happy when i just wanted to relax.
when it was over, i came down to reception to pay to discover that they have charged extra 3 ringgit for towels. the towels didn't seem fresh and i had the feeling that they use the same ones throughout the day. 3 ringgit being a nominal amount, i didn't make a fuss. i handed over 100 ringgit.

Per person, the normal price was rm186. It was extremely overpriced for the service provided. The massage was so-so, environment was so-so too. Dont even know how to describe my disappointment. Good variety of equipmentS of weight and machine. (except rowing machine). Lockers available.
