Extremely busy & ornate mansion. We feel it’s over decorated & could use some decluttering.
Great location for a portrait photo shoot with heaps of them happening everyday. Best enjoyed with a free guided tour.
25 ringgit for entry. Expect many people & avoid on days that cruise ships are in port.

Lovely family temple, great to walk around and very informative about the family origins and history. We went early and it was empty

This is an interesting and fun place to visit. The most important thing is to let the staff take the photos for you as they know how to take it. Listen to them when they ask you to pose for the photos. You will not regret it once you have seen the photos.

Interesting place to see all the different food. Had a good time taking photos with all the giantic foods. There is so much different types of food to take photos with. Really Fun.

Although not big, this weekend market has interesting wares, food, beverages, clothes, art and live music. The mix is eclectic rather than local.

It is worth spending a few hours.

One of the best museums I’ve ever been to. You learn so much about penangs music history. And the staff is very passionate about it. We got a private tour and it was very fun and informative. You can try many different music instruments- it is just awesome!
In my opinion a Must-Visit when you come to Penang.

visited TeddyVille Museum Batu Ferringhi in July 2024, and it was an enchanting experience for both adults and kids alike

    1. Adorable Teddy Bears: The museum has an extensive collection of teddy bears from around the world, each with its own unique story and cultural background. The displays were well-organized and very engaging.

2.Interactive Exhibits: There were several interactive exhibits that allowed visitors to touch and pose with the teddy bears. My kids loved the opportunity to play and take photos with the life-sized teddy bears.

    3. Educational and Fun: The museum not only showcased teddy bears but also provided interesting historical and cultural insights about Penang and Malaysia. It was a nice blend of fun and learning.

4.Friendly Staff: The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. They were always ready to share fun facts and help with taking photos.

5.Well-Maintained: The museum was clean and well-maintained, making the visit comfortable and enjoyable

Gift Shop: The gift shop had a variety of cute teddy bear merchandise, but the prices were a bit on the higher side and available purchase via other online platform. Some more affordable options would be appreciated. However, they have cute postcards and shirts too!

What a great little museum! It is tiny, but packed with cameras and gadgets from the past. Our guide was super passionate about cameras and answered all of our questions wonderfully. I have never considered myself a camera enthusiast, honestly we were looking to get out of the blazing sun, but this place sparked my interest.

All the animals in this educational and interesting exhibition had encountered an accidental death, the big tapir skeleton was a roadkill. The specimens are on loan from Kuala Lumpur till March 2023. Downstairs another gallery shows the permanent collection with decades of modern works by local artists. Both exhibitions are free to enter in the 1970's building with a gated court yard next to the yellow Town Hall.

The artwork pieces include sculptures and illusion paintings. All the pieces featured at the museum are locally made, which is one of the unique aspects that Penang 3D Trick Art Museum is proud to share. The price is affordable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Interesting activity to do, spooky but informative, nothing jumps out at you which I preferred. It was more for you to walk around at your own pace and not be screaming the whole time haha

I wasn't expecting much after reading several reviews. It was actually a lot better than I was expecting but largely because of our guide.

There was more information to read than in most Malaysian museums. However the accuracy of some of it was questionable. For instance the information about a Kamikaze vest claimed that it was the type used in 1941. However Kamikaze attacks by the Japanese did not start until 1944.

The presence of the paintball centre and items for nightime ghost walks do detract slightly from the museum but if they make it financially viable then they are needed.

Entry was 22RM per person with Malaysian ID. We paid an additional 100RM for a "Ranger" to guide us for an hour. This was absolutely worth it and added greatly to the visit. I would reccomend taking this option but for 2 hours. Our hour ran out about 2/3 of the way down the museum. We self guided for the rest and it simply wasn't as good.

Definitly take water and insect repellent, be prepared to crawl and climb if you want to make the most of the experience.

This place could be absolutely brilliant, it would take some serious investment though and we were grateful that it had managed to survive the pandemic. As it stands, it's middle of the road. Worth a couple of hours.

    Absolutely loved this place.
Beautiful batiks from around South East Asia. 3 floors containing many different styles and periods of batik. Seating areas too so you can sit and admire the works of art in cool rooms.
Only 10 MYR to visit. A friendly well informed man to greet you on entering. Well worth it. Would highly recommend this place.

We stumbled into this museum with no expectations. I thought it was a good experience , viewing and reading about the artifacts. Then I met Kelvin, and that was amazing. We got to learn about the history of the Chinese culture in the Malaysian area. really was unexpected and fascinating! I would definetly recommend this museum and immerse yourself in the experience and knowledge that they have to offer!
