This was a great day. Thank you Mr Eng. We saw all that we planned and more. Our guide was knowledgeable and we got to learn so much more than if we had tried to do this ourselves. This tour is well organised and worth it. Thank you.

Eddie is a very engaging guide. He has great local knowledge, a great sense of humour, and the tour is very interesting. It includes a palm oil plantation, fishing villages, and a working dairy goat farm. We learnt about the production and use of palm oil, the fish farms and the reduction in the number of people fishing, village life, fruit tree planting on the hills, and lots of other interesting facts about Penang. Eddie really knows his stuff. The bikes are functional but not geared. The ride is easy and would suit most fitness levels. It does get hot so the tour starts early. Small groups make it better as well.
Overall, this was a really interesting and worthwhile riding tour.

If you want to catch the entirety of Penang in one day, this is a great way to do it. Picked up from our hotel and on to each of the major sites and temples throughout the island plus a very fine lunch back in the city, we could not have planned a more efficient day of seeing everything… Considering the tour was eight hours of chauffeured and guided touring, this is a good value for the money. Ong made sure we were well taken care of with all of our logistics plus added in a nice amount of perspective and history along the way.

Fantastic tour! Food is culture and history. This tour delivers much more than just a full stomach- although we certainly had that. We were happy we chose the evening tour not only because it is cooler in the evening to walk around, but it was interesting to watch the streets change from the busy traffic of tourists and businesses to the locals coming out to visit, eat and go about their lives. We all felt it was the best tour we had taken out of many. Brandon did an amazing job.

Lots of interesting and tasty food. Little walking as we were transported by van which was nice. The guide certainly knew her stuff.

We had a very exiting day full of decent views and places with Lester our guide. He was very nice and gave us so many informations and insights to all the places we visited. At the end of the day he sent us a link to all the pictures and movies he made of us at the stops. Great memories to watch and to show back home. We asked for a food recommendation for dinner. So he took us to a Hoka Food Market with some of the best local food, we had so far.

My family and I visited Penang in December 2023 and were excited to visit George Town. We received a pre arranged tour which was good, but felt that it was rushed with little history shared. We booked this tour with KS Lee ourselves and we really were not disappointed. Lee collected us from our hotel in his luxury van and drove us between sites. He used prepared materials to help us understand the history of Penang and took us to see amazing temples and historic sites. He was able to tell us the history in detail, allowing us to be totally immersed like we had travelled back in time.
Lee showed us the Pinang Peranakan Mansion where we learnt about the lifestyles of the rich and famous and the fantastic history of the Baba Noyan. He was able to answer our questions and help us understand the history of the house the inhabitants.
Next, Lee showed us the the Khoo Kongsi clan house - it was beautiful and Lee knew all the best parts to point out. We were able to live like the people that stayed here many years ago and understand how the house was so important to the migrants who arrived in Penang.
Lee then drove us to the Chew Jetties - we were really excited to visit these houses on stilts. Lee knew where to park, allowing us quick access to the jetties. He told us about the history and even showed us where the families still live here. I will remember this stop for the rest of my life - a truly amazing experience.
Next stop was the Dhammikarama Burmese Temple - with the reclining Buddha. Once again, Lee told us the history in easy to understand style and answered all our questions. A truly amazing stop.
Lastly, Lee took us to Little India and showed us all the glorious street artwork and amazingly restored buildings.

We felt like we had seen all the important sites in George town and came away understanding the history of the amazing place.

Lee is a fantastic guide. He is freindly and explains history in easy to understand style. We loved our time with Lee and were sad that the tour had ended.

I can fully recommend this tour to anyone visiting George town. You will not regret it.

Our complete thanks to Lee for making our trip to George town memorable.

Our driver, Carol Lee, was excellent and got us to all the key destinations in the itinerary—and more—very efficiently and explained things very well. Would definitely use her services again when in Penang! We had a great day thanks to her.

Excellent, very well organised bike tour through lovely scenery and with several fascinating stops to learn about local culture.

The bikes were in good condition and were well-maintained and had been adjusted for our heights in advance.

Our guides Princilla was hugely knowledgable about local flora and fauna and was really friendly. Our other guide, SJ was equally knowledgable abc friendly. Both clearly loved their country and Penang.

Stops included a goat farm, where we fed the goats and a fishing village where had local coffee (kopi) and tried some delicious local treats. We then visited a local house and learned all about nutmeg! Very interesting.

SJ moved our rucksacks by car so we didn’t have to carry them but could retrieve anything we needed at the stopping points.

Despite the wonderful mountainous scenery the ride was flat and easy.

    Highly recommended!

We took one of his classes and it was an amazing 5 hours. A couple of days beforehand he sent an extensive list of Malaysian. Nonya, Chinese & Indian dishes for us to choose 3. He picked us up early in the morning from our George Town hotel to explore, shop and breakfast at a wet market which was an unforgettable experience. We then returned to his very professional kitchen. We chose 3 traditional Malay dishes - Laksa (the best I have eaten anywhere in Malaysia) , a Chicken Rendang, and a vegetarian fritter. We then sat in his dining room and enjoyed our dishes. All turned out beyond my best expectations. I am a seasoned cook who has taught cooking classes, but he is a true accomplished chef and the techniques I learned from him are priceless. He makes everything easy to understand and discusses variations if you have problems with a particular ingredient or just want to experiment. It was truly a remarkable experience.

Marvelous tour with James today. LOTS of food. Perfectly curated with plenty of cultural tidbits. James tailored the tour for us (I’m gluten free/light) and was able to eat almost all the food.

The best part is tasting foods you maybe wouldn’t know to order or perhaps wouldn’t dare.

    Highly recommended

To be honest, wasn’t sue what to expect. Brandon turned up on the dot and the next 3 hours was a thoroughly entertaining and informative morning not only sampling many different ethnic dishes but also learning about Malay life, art, culture and its people. A tremendous way to pass a morning. Great guide and even better food.
