What travellers are saying
- Vee2 contributionsMy partner and I visited this mansion in March. The English-speaking tour guide was such a wonderful person. We enjoyed the whole tour because of him, he's funny, friendly, cute and knowledgeable! That said, it's a wonderful experience getting to see the antiques and setup from years ago :) A wonderful experience and highly recommended especially for foreigners :DWritten 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SUHASINEY@SEU338EKuala Kangsar, Malaysia98 contributionsA must visit place if you are in Penang, guys ! My friends and I had a great experience in the museum since all the things were upside down. Service provided here was awesome and the staffs were really friendly. They taught us how to give a pose and also took pictures for us. Reasonable entrance fee and definitely it will be a wonderful experience if you go with friends ...Written 16 May 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ALIAANUAR@SEU338EGeorge Town, Malaysia21 contributionsIn this museum, they display variety of Malaysian food. So it very attract the foreign tourist to try all of the food by promoting them in the museum. It looks really tasty though and looks real.Written 14 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- IRHSRochester191 contributionsExcellent example of a Kongsi but very crowded with tour groups. You have to maneuver your way around them to get a view of the area. I visited in the morning when the sun was behind the building, difficult to get a good view of the roof figures.Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- huiweikuok7 contributionsCame to Penang a couple of times but never heard about this place before, so decided to give it a try. This is one of the Penang’s hidden gems. I was greeted by a lovely lady Elaine, my tour guide, who brought me back to the history of music in Penang. The whole tour took around 2 hours, but you will never feel the time passed, as they emphasize on engaging your senses. You are encourage to touch, feels and listen to the instruments. Had a blast here and hopefully more people can discover this place too. Please make an appointment at 012-416 1550 before drop by as they are following a strict SOP due to covid.Written 7 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- NoorAmirah@SEU338EPenang Island, Malaysia34 contributionsThe artwork pieces include sculptures and illusion paintings. All the pieces featured at the museum are locally made, which is one of the unique aspects that Penang 3D Trick Art Museum is proud to share. The price is affordable. The staff are very friendly and helpful.Written 16 June 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- Aidanaj178 contributionsPerplexing ghost museum containing Malay culture ghosts, chinese yet missing Indian cultural ghosts. But having import ghosts from Japan, western Dracula and Egyptian.. Don't our own cultural aplenty of ghosts? I got tongue tied being asked by teen kids.Written 11 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- ChristophOberursel (Taunus), Germany71 contributionsFollow the tunnel for a well presented overview on Penang history, before engaging in the fun photography part. - mudcowGeorge Town, Malaysia322 contributionsWe've been several times, this is a lot of fun for children and accomodates a wide variety of ages. The additional precautions due to the pandemic are a bit of a pain but completely neccesary. The staff on hand around the exhibit are generally very good and multilingual.
It's not on the same level as Petrosciens in KL but for a Penang attraction this is really rather good.Written 10 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Nick TReigate, UK20 contributionsThis a fascinating and beautiful house. It is worth visiting for that reason alone, even if you have little interest in Sun Yat Sen - though the historical detail on his time in Penang was also interesting.Written 22 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Molly KPenang Island, Malaysia28 contributionsI agreed with the comment and title of the earlier writer... if you love camera and photography definitely you going to love this place...
