An eye-opening experience seeing how the locals live in the countryside. Eddie was a great guy who was knowledgeable and even recommended me good food to eat in Penang. Highly recommended!

A fantastic day with Matahari. Princillia and SJ are excellent guides. The tour isn't just a cycle ride, it's educational too with lots of knowledge of local flora and fauna. We were lucky enough to see eagles, kingfishers, bee-eaters, monitor lizards and witness a monkey colony fight. The tour included hands-on education about sustainable palm oil production and local crops without being preachy or boring. Matahari as a company is very supportive of cottage industries in the local area and we witnessed this at first hand. Local snacks and an excellent lunch were also included. It was great fun and I'd highly recommend Matahari as a company and this tour to everyone. You don't need to be a brilliant cyclist, just a keen adventurer who likes getting off the beaten track.

Interesting tour with excellent tour guide.
Entopia Butterfly Farm was most enjoyable and arriving early in the day was great as we missed the crowds which we building as we left.
The Tropical Spice Garden not so exciting.
The tour was worthwhile just to get out of Georgetown and see other parts of the Island.

This was a relaxed tour filled with amazing things to see and do. The Tropical Spice Garden was a serene encounter with nature that shared information in a fun way. Following this with the visit to Entopia was a real contrast. We were amazed by the magnitude of the display and the depth of detail presented in such an enjoyable way.
Overall our tour with Pesona and Mr Ong as our driver/guide was a Penang Island experience we will remember with pleasure.

Our guide KT was very knowledgeable and accommodating. His English was very good.

We spent the day with Vejay. He picked us up at the port and we went directly to Penang Hill for the funicular ride up. We had the express pass but it still took 40 mins in the line. It is a very busy spot.

We spent some time up in the hill and saw the temple but due to the long wait we didn’t have time to walk through the habitat.

From there we visited the Kek Lok Si temple complex. Vejay drove us right to the top and purchased our ticket to take the ride part way down. The entire area is beautiful with many different styles of temples. It was a wonderful spot to see.

Vejay was able to give us a lot of information about the culture, religion and customs of the people living in Penang. And he answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly. He took lots of pictures for us as well

We also saw the reclining Buddha at the Thai temple and had a blessing by a monk at the Burmese temple.

It was an excellent seeing the sights and learning a lot about the area.
