- martin rLima, Peru61 contributionsThe place is easily reachable by taxi from George Town city center. Funicular goes up very fast. Views from the hill are incredible including peninsular Malaysia. You can go down walking or by the funicular. It is recommended to bring sunblock cream and a hat.Written 18 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - KinkyheelsSingapore, Singapore9 contributionsLovely tour of the Blue Mansion. Beautifully maintained property and lots of spots for great pics. I want to thank one of the members of the Blue Mansion team, Selva, for pointing out the nice places to take photos and for taking some lovely pics of my cousin and me. Made our visit more memorable.Written 3 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Stanley_Wong1204Petaling Jaya, Malaysia354 contributionsPerhaps I came in the late afternoon, therefore not many tourists inside the destination. The location of this place needs to walk-in from the main street. Then you will encounter a ticket booth to sell ticket. After buying the ticket, you will get through the security guard and turn into the location of the temple-like building. That building is the center location of Khoo Kongsi. The ground floor is the exhibit and upper floor is a clan shrine.Written 31 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Francois TJohannesburg, South Africa924 contributionsIf you enjoy some time outside and want to take an easy walk and feel like you in nature, this is the place to go. We strolled around for about two hours or so and had a lot of fun. Most areas are very well maintained but we did come across some areas that was closed or under maintenance, but was not a major issue. There was no entrance fees when we went in and we will highly recommend a visit.Written 11 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lisa PBoca Raton, FL52 contributionsArmenian St is probably, in my view, the best of the streets in George Town. Cute shops and at the bottom of the street is a good food marketWritten 18 April 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Alex HPort St. Mary, UK1,172 contributionsA really beautiful Burmese temple situated in Malaysia, and if you have been to other Buddhist areas of SE Asia, you can really appreciate the difference. Also, there are some cool and interesting decorations in the temple showing the other Buddhist areas in Asia, and it’s fun picking out areas you’ve been to. The temple is really well maintained, clean and up the pagoda provides some lovely views. Free entry and great for pics.Written 9 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

Interesting/surprising thing is that ash pots are place behind and below the lying Buddha statue.

We had a free tour guide who was expert and passionate. Great thing to do in the heat of the day. Plenty of interactive experiences and the chance to play some of the instruments and work the radio desk. Recommended for families and adults interested in the origins of modern music. Plenty of stories and history of how music played a big part in people’s lives up to the 1970’s. Amazing to see so much memorabilia collected and now preserved from so many people from the last 150 years and to hear that some, now in their 80’s continue to be involved and even perform.Written 10 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AhMeng78Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia469 contributionsThe figures and service of Wonderfood musuem are inpressive. The two level musuem is full of diffent large scale food figures and miniature life figures. Since I visited during weekdays , there is no problem taking photo with minimum crowd. Staffs are friendly and explain some of the details on those food figures history.
Entrance fee is rm 20 per adult. Worth paying for the price since the musuem is interesting.Written 9 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Heli PHelsinki, Finland6,316 contributionsThe long street passing through Chinatown to Little India becomes really lively only in the evening with all the bars, restaurants and food stalls open. The traffic is constant with the practical bus 101 travelling along it both ways.Written 18 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Many are selling selfmade artefacts, jewellery, candles, paintings and then there is the guy with a collection of incredible live insects hiding among leafs in terrariums. A large selection of Asian dishes is cooked on the premises by eager home chefs.Written 17 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
