- feynmanKuala Lumpur, Malaysia8 contributionsThe crowds are huge, but like any street market, the only downside is that you can’t find parking if you’re driving. The traffic around the market is also pretty bad.Written 13 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- tonimcallenFremantle, Australia55 contributionsWe went solely for the sunset and it did not disappoint. The area is attractive with the islands as a backdrop and the lovely casuarina trees. It has a peaceful vibe, a relaxing place to watch the sun go down. There are also plenty of eating options around. We did not swim or engage in water sports so can't comment on those aspects.Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tonimcallenFremantle, Australia55 contributionsThis is a huge shopping mall with a large range of different stores. The centre is clean an presents as aesthetically pleasing. On the lower ground floor there is a market like series of stalls which were fun to look through. Otherwise, there is a range of stores providing lower priced goods through to high end labels.Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - IndySigIndianapolis, IN4,119 contributionsA very pretty mosque but quite a walk from KK. We enjoyed the seaside stroll, saw the sun setting and then enjoyed a nice dinner at one of the food stalls behind the mosque.Written 19 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - outlaws_2000Limassol City, Cyprus692 contributionsWe tried some street food, the grilled options and it was great and safe to eat.
Well worth visiting the market if you want to get a good view, feel and smell of a typical night food market of the region.Written 25 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I was not aware that this is the market advised as KK attraction. Nothing special for us as we are used this markets for years but for westerners could be something newWritten 10 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Robert S1 contributionI am an Australian with a Sabahan wife. I have been o many malls around the world. We always go to Centrepoint mall when we visit Papar. - Dan LBunbury, Australia8,543 contributionsAfter our shore excursion it was generally agreed among the group that other than cultural attractions, shopping malls and the beach, the city is best visited after sunset for other activities. This is a nice park area, very well maintained with attractive flora, the war memorial and a few other facilities including a bus terminal. The musical fountain show is held much later, no special performance for a horde of midday tourists.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tonimcallenFremantle, Australia55 contributionsJesselton Point is where you go to get boats out to the islands of Tunku Abdul Rahman National Park. It is a busy and at times chaotic place with food stalls an souvenir shops. We visited several times to book tickets, buy souvenirs, use the ATM and buy snacks. As there are a number of different businesses that provide trips to the island, I would recommend going the afternoon of the day before the proposed travel to book in advance. Then you simply attend the relevant counter of the business you're travelling with a they guide you from there. I have heard that some travellers found the process confusing but it was pretty straight forward and definitely doable if you don't want to pay the price of an all inclusive tour.Written 9 April 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Soko37Budapest, Hungary12,881 contributionsNice sunny day, hot weather and first full day in the city. Part of water front is under reconstruction closer to golf course. Nice view to see, islands and fishing boats. Waterfront has got many places to dine or enjoy the drinks 🥤Written 9 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ttailsMundaring, Australia38 contributionsTake care. When I visited walking up the steps the observatory platform was closed, locked gate, but there were still excellent views of the city from the road. Beware using the steps as I did up signal Hill a few hundred metres from the clock tower. They are very slippery and many have rotted through. The ones that are not rotted are missing. Some sections have fallen, necessitating one to climb the hill next to the steps using the guard rail to pull oneself up in some sections. When I finally got to the top, there was some yellow tape warning of a hazard, but by then I was already there. Great views though, and unsurprisingly no tourists, or anybody else for that matter. Good fun, but take care.Written 7 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dan LBunbury, Australia8,543 contributionsAnother photo-stop, just enough time to admire the beautiful structure and unusual design which includes 17 domes and a single minaret. The building dates to 1970, completed in 1975 and opened by Sultan Yahya Petra ibni Almarhum Sultan Ibrahim, constitutional King of Malaysia at the time. It has room for 5,000 male worshippers and a balcony set aside for 500 female worshippers.Written 23 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Minecrafter2014Singapore261 contributionsThis is a unique Hindu temple, it caters to the worship of not just one, but to ALL the 6 manifestations of the Supreme.
(Ganapathyam, Saivam, Saktam, Vaishnavam, Sauram, Kaumaram).
This is a floating Hindu temple surrounded by lotus pond with fishes.
Holy and spiritual experience.
There is another temple for Lord Subramania near Lok Kawi Wildlife park.Written 11 December 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
