Our tour guide, Mas Daud was amazing. Funny, very knowledgeable and very friendly. The cultural centre was such a great experience and we were lucky to see two orangutans at Semanggoh. Simply amazing. Highly recommend this tour for everyone.

Definitely will see frogs. Lucian is a very kind and knowledgeable guide! He knows so many species and tries to name everything!!! We saw froggies (very very tiny ones and big ones), bugs and insects (like the stick bug and one some type of very loud cricket), a rare snake (!!!), a huge snail, and lizards! Of course, the cutie froggies were the highlight.

It was raining A LOT!!! So do bring a rain coat and a WATERPROOF bag (learned that the hard way)!!! The rain did not bother us, though, as we still saw a lot of nocturnal wildlife.

The hike goes uphill, so be prepared for that.

If we ever come back to Kuching, I would even consider doing this tour again! It was so much fun and Lucian's positive energy is contagious! 10/10 would recommend when you're in Kuching!

We travelled less than an hour from the city on the Cultural Village Tour with an experienced local driver - it was one of the highlights of our trip to Kuching. We learned about the different tribes and longhouses for each, with welcome dancers and music each time we entered. There was cooking in some, handcraft exhibitions in some, and it is always interesting learning about how different cultures have lived. To finish off, the joint performance in the main hall from each of the longhouses was beautiful and brilliant, seated on very comfortable chairs with all the lights, music and entertainment of a world-class event. Definitely include the Sarawak Cultural Village on your agenda.

This was a wonderful experience! Lucien picked us up from our hotel and we drove around an hour to the Bengoh Dam. From there we took a boat to the jetty where we started the hike to the waterfalls. The hike itself was very nice. Lucien stopped along the way to show us plants and explain their properties. The Jurassic waterfall was one of the prettiest we ever saw. After the hike, we had a short 20-min walk to the homestay. Mr Kuek and his family were extremely nice and warm to us. They made us delicious food from locally grown and sourced produce.
I would highly recommend this experience. Thank you Lucien😊

Really great tour and I learnt so much about the history and culture of kuching that I wouldn't otherwise have learnt. Lots of yummy snacks and lunch. Opium coffee in Chinatown was a new treat.

Easy kayaking down river. We were well looked after. Prompt pick up. Friendly guides and driver. Saw some monkeys and sea eagle with snake in mouth. Lunch good. Climbed up small inlet river to waterfall and also swam in river. Cool temperature and fun.

We had a perfect 2D1N trip with Rucksack Kayaking! It was literally everything we were looking for!

The trip started with a visit to the Orangutan Sanctuary, where we were lucky to see one female. Then, we were transported to the kayaks. The kayaking was very peaceful and relaxing. We enjoyed spending time outside without any other tourists in sight. Also, the food we got for lunch was basic, but delicious!

Then, we were brought to our homestay. The homestay was by far the best homestay I have ever done. The host family was very very (!) friendly and welcoming. He spoke perfect English, so he could explain everything we wanted to know. We were also invited to a family gathering which was very interesting. Half of the village assembled to pray for a sick member and heaps of food was served afterwards. The people were all so warm-hearted and kind. We really enjoyed their company. Thank you!

The next day, we hiked to a waterfall with the host. Also very beautiful with no other people around! He cooked lunch for us on the open fire with bamboo and it was yummy!
The transport back to Kuching also worked without problems and we were back in time..

All in all, I would really recommend this package. Obviously, you should not expect a luxury stay. There are quite a lot of insects and everything is rather basic. But in my opinion, that makes the experience even better (and a lot more adventurous). Also, it was so nice to be in the village / rainforests without the crowd of tourists you would normally expect. So, if you're looking for an authentic 2-days trip around Kuching, this is the thing to do!

very active day with lots of action. we went kayaking first because the river had very little water. it was safe and fun with i their guide Carl. paddling in nature is just great. at the first break, Carl immediately discovered a mini snake. Great. after a meal we went cycling with Estee and Calvin. first on the road it was rather boring, but with fantastic views of the limestone mountains. the fairy cave was a highlight. steeply up one is rewarded with a breathtaking view in a huge interior. back then finally the offroad part, which has it all. it's just bumpy through the rock, so it's more demanding than you know it from Europe. but i so much more fun. if you don't manage to do everything, push something, everyone makes it. also these guides were great overall great experience.

The Culvert had booked my husband and I this experience with CPH Travel Agencies. This tour did not disappoint. Our guide Don and captain Jeff were amazing. Don picked us up at 8:45am sharp, from there we headed to the boat. Don was clear that there was no guarantee of seeing dolphins. Regardless we were fortunate enough to experience the dolphins and wildlife of the wetlands and mangroves. The guide and captain were ethical, knowledgeable, and shared interesting legends and history with us while we were on the boat. 10/10 would recommend.

I arrived there is 2 days in kuching and I was scared to test a new kind of food and to shy to ask people.. so book this tour was for me a step to know more about kuching and the culture and religion and the food specialities from there. Discovery all the arts and village and market around kuching. I spent 4 hours with Kelvin and he took the time to explain to me all the history of kuching. He was looking after me and I not feeling like we need to follow a prepared tour it was more like discovery the city with your friend. We walked in the city, took the bike during one hour around the waterfront and took the boat to come back at the office. So it was a good time and very diversified during all the tour. So if you are a solo traveler and you would like discovery more about the city, the history of kuching, discovery food and go to some places where you can't go by yourself you can shoose this tour. And if you are a family or friends it's the same things.

    Thanks Kelvin Lu

Ps : don't eat before the tour! Too much yummy food!!!
