- Rhon GMacksville, Australia70 contributionsWe travelled less than an hour from the city on the Cultural Village Tour with an experienced local driver - it was one of the highlights of our trip to Kuching. We learned about the different tribes and longhouses for each, with welcome dancers and music each time we entered. There was cooking in some, handcraft exhibitions in some, and it is always interesting learning about how different cultures have lived. To finish off, the joint performance in the main hall from each of the longhouses was beautiful and brilliant, seated on very comfortable chairs with all the lights, music and entertainment of a world-class event. Jason Law our guide was superb. - chrisandwendy_12Ventnor, UK128 contributionsWe went on the “ Wetland Wildlife Cruise “ with Ooo Haa tours and travel , through our hotel .41/2 hours around the Santubong river mouth and the mangroves. 198 Rm , around £38 each and good value including pick up and return and a meal in the boat . Ben , our guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. Only 3 tourists in the boat , so it wasn’t crowded .
