    Free bus - free way to Damai
    Getting a free bus to the beach in Kuching was most welcome, at the moment a free hydrogen bus is being trialed so hop on and enjoy the trip even free wi-fi, takes an hour from the Waterfront going past the cat museum on it's way. Though take note no stops on the way or return. There are numerous snack bars and even a karaoke when you arrive at central. This is the venue also of the Cultural village and Rain forest festival. Beautiful scenary and friendly locals, can't be bad hey :)

    Beautiful beach
    This beach is quite beautiful and wide. It's just that there is no sand visible on the beach. When on holiday, especially Eid al-Fitr, most shanties and tenants are closed so it is difficult to find food.

    Full of rubbbish
    The beach is a sad example of over exploitative approach to tourism . One cannot question the natural beauty of the sea and the fact it’s is huge makes is rather a special place as a travelling destination. Now for the sad part: it is full of rubbish which is covering the whole extent of the beach. From the point of view there are not many facilities apart from shabby tables , plastic chairs and quad bike rental. The access to the beach is 5 ringgits per person and you are free to drive all along the beach.
