Bako is a must visit for anyone near-by. We got the bus for 1RM from Kuching centre. The boat journey to the island (not accessible by car) from Bako village is so fun and adds to the experience. Once there you register at the information centre where they give you ideas for which trails to follow. Trails are well marked and easy to follow. We did 4, 5 and 6 as we were there all day. The park is beautiful and the beaches are some of the nicest beaches.
Tip: definitely bring a lot of water because once you leave the information centre where you can buy water and food, there is no where to get water and the trails are long. At least 2L per person. We also had electrolyte drinks and a packed lunch. The trails are different lengths so there is something for everyone.

When you leave the city area of Kuching and venture into the countryside you are met with the imposing landmark of Mt Santubong. While we did not hike to the top we were impressed by the low cloud over the peak.

The hot springs that are operated on a community base can promise an extraordinary situation while in Sarawak.

Wow what an absolutely incredible experience!!! We booked through Borneo Adventure and the company who do the tours are S I Tours… the tour guides Basri and Abbas were just wonderful, we were so lucky to have two! All of the staff are so welcoming and helpful, with smiles on their faces. The tour itself was magical, we saw 8 wild orangutans and so many other wild animals. We made wonderful friends on the trip too and would recommend it 10000%!

Wonderful and relaxing kayak ride. Excellent guide, pick up and drop off from hotel in an air - conditioned van. Water provided. 2 people in each kayak - an easy paddle down the river with several stops to see a waterfall, feed fish, a swim and the a lovely local lunch at the end. We did this a as family of 4. our daughters 17 and 10 really enjoyed it. David our guide was knowledgeable and great fun. They have a person taking photos so you don't have to worry and can just relax and enjoy - would totally recommend!

The best way to discover Kuching
Our guide Azra was so nice and gave us so interesting info on history, culture, habits. She invited us to taste local food, visit local market and amazing areas of the city.
Biking is the easiest way to appreciate more deeply this fascinating city. Thank you Azra !
Don’t hesitate to contact Paradesa Borneo for this bike tour

A day out with James exploring the little visited sites of rural and wild Sarawak is the most fun, exciting and most of all, informative adventure Kuching has to offer. We were guided through local markets and tried bird nests soup. We ate the most delicious lunch at a friendly local family home. Then we explored caves, examined skulls in a remote village and hiked through the jungle to the boarder of Indonesia. The tour covers an incredible amount of time and space and James knows every detail of the past and recent history.

Abbie organized an incredible tour! The 5km trekking with a local guide till the waterfall and back was amazing! We ate delicious local food cooked by the guide in the forest. We visited longhouse with Abbie and we spent a great time home staying at Giam village! Thanks a lot for everything!!!!!!
