An amazing national park that is underrated. Very well worth the visit - for 4-5 hours or two days!

There are plenty of trails. If you're going with children, pick the ones that end at a beach. Recently, plenty of crocodiles have been spotted probably due to human activity so they do advise against swimming in the sea but the beaches are nice enough.

Hike to the sea stacks or pay the boat driver a bit more to motor over.
If you have 3-4 in your group, consider chartering your own boat to give you flexibility. We did that, spotting a small pod of Irrawaddy dolphins including a calf on our way to the sea stacks. We also made a one-way hike. Take down the driver's mobile number and give him a call about which beach to pick you up. Do tell him beforehand.

In the two-hour hike we were on, we managed to catch plenty of local flora and fauna, including the famed proboscis monkey, silver-leaf monkey, and more.

Mt. Santubong is the highest mountain one can climb located nearest to Kuching. Located in a national park, one needs to register with the Sarawak Forestry Corporation office prior to the climb. The track is almost four kilometers long and the summit can be reached within less than three hours. It is considered as tough but with some preparations, most can reach the summit with little problems.

The hot springs that are operated on a community base can promise an extraordinary situation while in Sarawak.

We had a great kayak down the Semadang river. It was peaceful and the currents made the paddle a little easier. It was fun to explore the hidden waterfall and ride some of the rapids. It was a wonderful day! Would recommend this tour.

This is my second trip to Kuching and my second time booking day trips with Paradesa and they did not disappoint. On this trip, I had my 8 year old and my 70++ parents with me and we did the Semenggoh Orangutan Sanctuary & Annah Rais Longhouse Day trip and the Wetlands Cruise. On each occasion, the guides assigned were helpful, informative and attentive to our varying needs (young and elderly both taken care of). Paradesa's recommendation to coincide our Longhouse trip with the Gawai celebrations was an excellent recommendation. We joined in the Gawai dances and experienced Gawai hospitality! And we ticked off the wildlife sightings (crocodiles, dolphins and Proboscis monkeys) on the cruise. Yup, I recommend!

We went caving with Kuching Caving a few years ago, it was great to get a tour and brought back lots of great memories.
James was very knowledable and kept the information at a level us layman could enjoy.
If your interested in geology, history and nature this is the tour for you!

A day out with James exploring the little visited sites of rural and wild Sarawak is the most fun, exciting and most of all, informative adventure Kuching has to offer. We were guided through local markets and tried bird nests soup. We ate the most delicious lunch at a friendly local family home. Then we explored caves, examined skulls in a remote village and hiked through the jungle to the boarder of Indonesia. The tour covers an incredible amount of time and space and James knows every detail of the past and recent history.
