- Anastasia (@monk3yseendo)Malaysia2,381 contributionsIt is a mosque constructed between 2006 - 2008 from steel, glass and crystal located at the Islamic Heritage Park on the island of Wan Man. Be advised, due to the MCO visitors are not allowed inside and the lights are off at night.
However. It was still quite a sight! Do take a stroll around the vicinity as there are spots where you can grab instagrammable photos!

It become more popular because there are some streets art surrounded this area such as Turtle Sculpture and some murals. In this area, you can also get some souvenirs and local food such as kerepok lekor steam, small bun and roti paung. Be early if you want to get a taste of the foods.Written 20 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Hafizur RahmanCyberjaya, Malaysia32 contributionsPeople can play kytes and roam around with ATV type vehicle in the beach. Night market seems good. I think it is not too much popular amongst foreigner as i have seen only local people there or may be i visited on january as the islands part was close so there was no foreigner tourists there. Not too far from city center and not too crowdy. People and authority should concern about cleanliness more.Written 12 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jacki SPenang Island, Malaysia126 contributionsHistorical places around the world built with Islamic influences. Helpful signage and map to follow. Parts of the park in disrepair and badly in need of maintenance. Still worth a visit.Written 1 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wildcat7400Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia1,168 contributionsTengku Tengah Zaharah Mosque is known as the 1st floating mosque in Malaysia. Construction of this beautiful white mosque on a concrete platform took 3 years. It was built in the lagoon of the Ibai River & became part of the Kuala Ibai Lagoon Public Park, bordering an equestrian resort & the white sandy beach facing the South China Sea. There are 2 bridges that link to the northern & southern public carparks which can accommodate more than 400 cars.
The floating mosque, depicting a combination of modern & Moorish design was officially opened by the previous Sultan of Terengganu in July 1995 who named it after his mother, Tengku Intan Zaharah.
We did not enter the mosque but took photos of it from the carpark area. There was a large dome flanked by smaller ones & a 30-metre minaret standing closely beside it. We had read that marble, ceramics & bomanite were cleverly used to give its interior a cooling surface. Surrounding the floating mosque would be the lagoon water raising to the depths of 1.5 metres. The outside area was quite windy & onlookers will definitely agree that it was a peaceful sight.
The main prayer hall is on the ground level while the women’s prayer hall is on the floor above. It can accommodate 1,000 worshippers at any 1 time. Other facilities in the mosque include royal rooms, a small library, an imam’s room, office, store & ablution area.
We will visit the mosque again when time permits & offer prayers inside.Written 15 May 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. After the memorable event we decided to go to the beach, had dinner at a local seafood restaurant, food was really good the seafood was from local market everything tasted really fresh and place was really clean and well kept. Took a drive to the Teluk Kalong Beach, it was a full moon day and cool breeze was blowing and i was so excited, when my feet touched the beach it was soo good, finest beach sand really beautiful experience, i was there walking bare foot in the beach shore and bathing in the moonlight, as the beach current is not safe i was just wetting my foot in the shore but it was an exhilarating experience. It was my first visit to the beach and i loved it, though i did not swim in the beach, just being there listening to the waves and tides was awesome for me.Written 13 October 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikhail Tan Sri PHong Kong, China30 contributionsPenarik beach Kg Baru was an awesome place to put on a bucket list . The beach and village environment was superb and WOW it's great. The only things that really matter was the lovely beach , coconut trees, village houses, cows, goats and many more. It's feel like we go back to the past and realise that how wonderful life was before. I believe we should preserve this natural heritage for the future generations to taste and appreciate how great was nature were. I cannot take my eyes on what I see during my stay here. Live like local peoples mixed with them, makes me more appreciate them. See it to believe it. Everything was so good and fantastic.Written 21 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
