    Lights and enjoy the views.

It was a very fun experience for our son (3 yrs old).
Very up close and personal with the animals. Enjoyed watching the pandas. Cutest ever alive.

Have some “fake” dinosaurs during the walk which my son enjoyed, since he is a fan of dinosaurs. So it a great combo for him.

Walks were very cooling since it is during winter season.

The only thing I have to comment for a dislike is the tram ride. The exhaust smokes kept coming to us. China is going into EV, perhaps safari can consider changing to EV for their tram ride.

Glad we saw this area on Trip Advisor. Lovely walk around the historic area, but the food was the most memorable ! DEFINETLY go to the J.M Chef restaurant (down the end on the right). The best Chinese food that you will ever eat. The wine selection was great, but we loved their cheapest one. We returned the next day for more. There maybe a small que, but put your name down, and walk across the street to the discount Italian clothing shop across the road, while you are waiting.

It's a zoo on steriods and coffee.

    It's the Chinese Disneyworld.

Such a unique and wonderful experience. Spent it with my Dad and his friend and his family.

I'll never be able to go to another zoo without feeling disappointed.

Located at Zhongshan road and just a 1-min walk from Chen Jia Ci metro station, the Chen Clan Ancestral Hall (Chen Clan Academy) is a temple built by the 72 clans of family/surname of "Chen" for their juniors' accommodation and preparation for the imperial examinations during the Qing dynasty.

Later it was changed to be the Chen Clan's Industry College, and then middle schools. Currently it houses the Guangdong Folk Art Museum.

The buildings were nice in particular the roofs with lots of colourful decors and displays, and it stood the test of time, presenting the history, arts and culture of the then China before the country became a republic.

It's a nice place to learn about the early history and especially those with Chen family name as somehow you can feel the association with the forefathers.

The Pearl River in Guangzhou has a length of over 2000 km and is the third longest river in China. The river is like a ribbon that connects the historical sites and beautiful scenery along it and shows people both the modern culture and the historical legacy of Guangzhou City.

There are 10 bridges over this beautiful river. And one can walk along the bank of the river and will see many skyscrappers like star-grade hotels and a large number of modern shopping malls.

For us, our hotel was just next to it and we could see it from our rooms on the 28th storey though we also enjoyed our evening stroll here (but it was very cold with the blowing winds especially in the evening). The buildings nearby, roads and pathways and passingby cruises were lighted at night and it formed a beautiful art piece with the beautiful lightings, very spectacular!

Maybe they can setup some makeshift stalls/shops along the pathway to sell retail items like souvenirs or finger food will add more vibrancy to the place!

We spent New Year’s Day at Baiyun Mountain (which means White Cloud Mountain as it’s wreathed by cloud).

Awesome cable car ride with stunning views, we could have walked!, then a further 2.5 kilometre walk up to the Moxing Summit, the highest peak!

At Moxing Summit peak, sign pointing to the direction of and distance of 1,900 kilometres to Beijing

The view of Guangzhou city was hazy but sunset was still cool!

This is Guangzhou's prime tourist attraction and attracts a huge local crowd. The mausoleum is better heard of than viewed in person, though. The museum tries to enrich the visitor experience with some seasonal exhibition but it is quite unappealing. The mausoleum is pretty small too. Only the jade collection can interest tourists. Admission is cheap, though.

Located at Yide Road near the Haizhu Square in the city center, this beautiful over 130-year-old Roman Catholic cathedral is a holy and peaceful site in the bustling and busy urban area. From our hotel at Qiaoguang road, we walked here within 15mins of leisurely paced walk.

The cathedral was nice, aka the Notre Dame of Guangzhou (similarly to that in Ho Chi Minh City) with the same architectural style. Unfortunately, on the day of our visit, the Cathedral was closed to the public for some private events and so we could not stand outside to take photos and read the intro from the information plagues.

And along the section of the cathedral was small square with 2 rows of shophouses and cafes and right next was a long stretch of shophouses selling dried foods, toys and stationery which was very crowded, noisy and full of vibes but within the cathedral area, it was quiet and peaceful, what a contrast, all within 100-120m of distance!

The square is surrounded by skyscrapers, the Finance sector, along with tall hotels, in particular the Four Seasons, amongst some well manicured gardens, and restaurants in the underground restaurant arcades leading to the subway! At the end of the square, you have the ‘party wharf on the Pearl River, looking onto the tallest building in the world, Canton Tower!
Also close by is the Guangzhou Opera House and Library plus the Guangdong Museum!
    Very impressive square!
