Taking the Malaysia cooking class with Fizah was an absolute highlight of our time in Kuala Lumpur! The session was well-organized, engaging, and full of flavor.
We learned how to make two dishes: Curry Laksa and Kuih Gula Melaka. The Curry Laksa was incredibly rich and fragrant, with the perfect balance of spices and creamy coconut milk. It was fascinating to see how traditional ingredients like fresh herbs and homemade spice paste came together to create this iconic dish.
The Kuih Gula Melaka was a delightful way to end the experience – sweet, chewy, and full of the deep caramel flavor of palm sugar. The process of making these little treats was real fun and a great insight into Malaysian desserts.
Fizah was patient, knowledgeable, and shared lots of tips about Malaysian cooking techniques as well as the recipes, allowing us to prepare these delicious dishes for our family and friends back home.
I highly recommend this class to anyone who wants to dive into the heart of Malaysian cuisine!
