Certainly a fantastic museum, but the "forgotten history of Palestine" shows once more that fanatics rule this world, and especially Malaysia, with a fiercely antisemitic and anti-Israel government: why "forget" to mention that Palestine was inhabited by Jews for centuries, even before the Roman period, the same Jews whose monotheist religion forms the base of many rules of Islam ?
Very nice restaurant and very interesting shop !

The national oil company had an art gallery already in 1992 before the famous towers were built. These abstract paintings show that expressionism arrived to Malaysia late, only in the 1950's and has held a strong position in the local art world. One of the pictures in the enclosed portrait exhibition stands out as exceptional, the Heart surgery by Hoessin Enas from 1980 as the author is obviously the patient. Pop into the gallery on the third floor while shopping, the space is open from 10-20, Mondays closed.

Amazing experience. Expressive descriptions accompanying each artwork. 5 levels of pure freedom to experience modern art at your own pace. Each level filled with themed conceptual art with distinct personalities. A memorable journey of modern art in the heart of KL.

The Asian Art Museum is located at the University of Malaya, Jalan Pantai. Sited at the main campus in a 3 storey building, there is an excellent collection of ceramics on display here from the Malay, Chinese and Indian civilization as well as Asian region. Copper items and stone carvings as well as artefacts of cultural heritage are among the thousands of pieces on display here. In existence since the 1980's, it also holds exclusive publications on Asian art. There is no admission charge but check the operation hours before visiting. The earlier reviews on this museum is erroneous as they were describing the Islamic Museum. Highly recommended.

This is a treasure trove of ethnic and historical treasures. The place is not really a museum but a gallery laid out like a museum. The owner usually doesn't mind casual visitors. Note that this is in the Annexe which is hidden behind the main Central Market building.

Part of the governement subsidied Craft Complex now in the middle of a huge construction site the museum is waiting for a new display in February. Judging from the previous it isn't much to expect, this is a very oldfashioned establishment. There is a textile museum at the corner of Merdeka square in central KL showing more of the local craft techniques.

It is a hidden gem. If you love history and museum - then it is a must do place. Not only local music instruments and gurus are show-cased here - but all amazing master pieces from across globe are.

I stumbled upon on it on my way back from Merdeka square. I was feeling bit flu-ish. I decided to seek little rest in an air-conditioned oasis. Entrance was free - Air-conditioning was great.

It is a small museum perhaps you need around 1 hour. But displays are interesting and educational. Best part is that the place was deserted and I took as much time I can without noise of crowds.
