The visitor centre is really worth to visit! It’s free entry and they do provide guided tour around the Royal Selangor Visitor Center! Had a great experience visiting the center with my guide, Bryan today! Very informative!

Located in Merdaka Square, the main draw seems to be the I Love KL sign out in front. However, there was a much better sign located on the second floor but not in red.

On the first floor was a small diorama of KL, a room cataloguing history of KL as well as a busy cafe and gift shop.

The second floor was much quieter so don’t miss it. Here was a much larger 3D model of the greater KL city in one large room, a wall with details about the tall buildings in KL, an angel wings wall (for IGs), a cool floating model of the Sultan Abdul Samad Building.

We went there for a photography exhibition and talk by the Photographic Society of PETALING Jaya and at the same to gather some information about Sabah and Sarawak. There is plenty of free maps and information. You can watch cultural shows, have a bite and relax. It is a short walk from the Twin towers. The people are helpful.

Come here if you are looking for unbiased and real local information.

In a historic building on Jalan Tangsi 11 there is a small bureau with information on KL. Friendly staff can provide you with a map of the city, which is more detailed than the one I got at the airport. They have info about the history of the city and what there is to see and do. E.g. they told me about the free GO KL bus, but also about Thaipusam, the Hindu festival that ended yesterday. Should have gone to their office earflier.

    A visit is certainly useful.

The moment we walked on site the security guards were very friendly and directed us to the centre. The staff provided good advice on public transport and places to visit. A very pleasant experience.
