- DAVID JBengaluru, India95 contributionsKL tower is a nice tower to get a good view of entire Kuala lumpur city.
There are multiple varieties of tickets - skydeck, observation deck, skybox etc.
I took the ticket to skydeck+skybox. You get a nice view of the city from the top. You can get the side-view of petronas towers from here. You also get to see the majestic Merdeka 118.
There are two skyboxes, one which has petronas towers in the backdrop and another with normal background. You need to spend a considerable amount of time in queue to get to the skyboxes, especially the one with petronas towers in backdrop.
I went only to the normal skybox . I didn't find it worth spending a long time in queue, just to spend 15 seconds in a skybox.Written 14 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is a shame that you cannot just purchase tickets to it alone but have to buy a pass.Written 9 May 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jgrob3Perth, Australia169 contributionsThe start of the track is easy to find but it has yellow tape over it, warning you not to proceed. The track up to the base of the rocky outcrop hasn’t been maintained in a while so is a bit overgrown & some parts have been washed away. It’s not a huge deterrent but don’t expect an easy hike up.
I found the trail along the bottom of the cliffs to be quite difficult to follow & ended up going off into the jungle a couple of times. It’s not really possible to get lost as you just follow the base of the cliffs but the path is mainly marked by bits of warning tape on trees so it’s easy to miss the turns.
The trail along the top of the cliffs is much easier to follow and the views are quite spectacular. Just be careful up there as there are steep drop offs on both sides & it gets down to just a few metres across.
I’d suggest wearing long pants if you can as the mosquitoes are ferocious and I got bitten many times. In addition, I think I was stung by some plants or other insects as I came back with large itchy welts in my legs.
Overall, it was a good, challenging but quite doable hike & I spent about 4 hours doing the circuit. Just be prepared for a track that isn’t particularly well maintained!Written 31 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There're a few entrances to Bukit Gasing Hiking Trail. Our favourite are Bukit Gasing Hiking Trail Toilet and Parking, Petaling Jaya side or Taman Rimba Bukit Kerinchi, Kuala Lumpur side.
There're multiple trails for you to choose from, Bukit Gasing Loop, Fence Trail Loop, Abu Bakar Loop, Stairways to Heaven Loop, to the olde hanging bridge, or the Concrete suspended bridge. Hikes are novice to moderate difficulty. We typically spent between one half to 3 hours, depends on how many trails we tackle.
It's great to still find some critters along the way, scorpions, snakes, squirrels and monkeys were sighted. The flora had diminished somewhat, or the variety had retreated away from the trails perhaps.
Be cautious of slippery slopes especially if it had rained in the morning before.Written 10 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One hour from KLCC, you will pass by Ampang lookout where you can capture the beautiful KL skyline, bench for picnic, fresh water to chill with
Cons:
Probably might need bigger dustbin at the picnic spot, it can be quite frustrating because some people just have lack of respect with a public space like this - Don't leave your garbage there please.Written 13 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leo LeoKuala Lumpur, Malaysia3 contributionsGrow up watching initial D movies and series, u probably wonder how it feels to drift your car. Gotta say this is as close as you can be for a driftperience for a lifetime. For a Noob like me, it's totally SAFE to whoosh around at high speed 60kmh; Safety measures are all around the place so that if you crash, you're safe.
Experience of a lifetime. Worth a try for the adrenaline rush, and definitely improve your driving mechanics in real life.Written 26 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
