Took the free walking tour. Was interesting and the guide was knowledgeable. Saw the senate room and the house of representatives room. Along with many other things.

We spent some time walking around LBL on the two evenings that we were in town. We rented kayaks (2 person for 2 hours) at a reduced rate after 5. It was smooth, peaceful and loved the skyline view from the water. Later with the bats would also be a treat! You are able to view the bats along the trail and they scatter for a number of minutes. The night we saw them it was well before sundown. Felt safe and enjoyed walkers, runners and bikers on the trail.

Swimming at Barton Springs Pool is a very fun, local activity to do in Austin. We loved the idea of swimming in a river in the middle of the city. The water was cold, but refreshing. You get used to it quickly. Lots of people were enjoying the sun by lying on the grass. It is located in Zilker Park, which is great to explore on bike, kayak, or foot. It is a totally unique experience that you can only have in Austin.

Very informative with interactive exhibits. There is an entire exhibit with communication, letters and documents pertaining to the JFK assassination. Well worth a visit.

We browsed the museum and the gift shop, both are very good. And also saw the Dog Heros show at IMAX which was great. Unfortunately the concession stand wasn't open when we went and we hadn't eaten breakfast and promised popcorn to hold us over til lunch (hangry kids), but we arrived early enough they directed us to the cafe and we were able to get sandwiches. The lady in the cafe was very nice and helpful and panini pressed our sandwiches, and they were actually quite good.

My first time in Austin was a lil crazy, no one had told me the Streets will be blocked off due to people clubbing on 6th.when I pulled up to the hotel about 11:45pm , I was totally frustrated because it took me a whole hours to find the hotel .The Valet guy with the Dreadlocks was very Sweet and Totally Understand my frustration and Hunger. After checking in, can back outside to see what Austin was about… the valet guy was multitasking.. checking cars in and Answering people Questions about where to eat out and where is this club out. My whole two days there that young man is a rock star. Front desk staff to the housekeeping staff was a Amazing. The room was very clean and Spacious, love the bar !!!. I will I definitely will be back because of the wonderful staff the Driskill have

This was such a neat experience. My husband enjoyed himself. I don't like birds in general so I was not a huge fan but I am glad I went and experienced. Got some great shots of the city at night!

This place was really cool. Lots of hands on experiences for the kids. Stingrays, lemurs, iguanas, sharks, touch tanks, turtles, chickens and more. My kids really liked the interactiveness of this aquarium versus others we’ve been to. It did have a pretty fishy odor, but it IS and aquarium. I did think cleanliness was lacking. Most tanks were very dirty. Even saw trash in one and a pressed penny in another. Kind of sad for the animals to live like that. The staff seemed knowledgeable but lots of waiting time to see the more popular animals. Strict rules…My 6 year old stood up and touched the tail of a lemur (moderate adhd child) and got “kicked out” of the exhibit. Overall, it was a good trip, but this place could definitely improve for the price.

This is a scenic and well-maintained public space in Austin. Don't miss Lou Neff Point, one of the highlights.

Stopped here while in Austin and took very short walk to lower falls and upper falls areas. People were frolicing in the water. Plenty of parking available.

Boys had a lot of fun. It’s like a museum but you get to play with everything there. Lots of science practical exhibits.

They enjoyed the motion room and room with lights.

I wouldn’t say it’s something you’d want to come back right away.
