- TallfencerIssaquah, Washington16 contributionsThere was a lot of volcanic activity in this area and one of the byproducts was quartz crystals concentrated at crystal mountain. We visited crystal mountain as part of an overall western desert tour. Because I like rocks it was worth it for me to visit. You go from one outcrop to another and poke around finding nice crystal fragments. 45 minutes is al the timel you need to see this .Written 5 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OstnakBrno, Czech Republic23 contributionsIt is a good idea to have a guide with a 4WD car to show you round the oasis. In fact, there are five monuments in the price of the museum ticket, all worth of visit. Besides that, the driver can you show round the oasis, which is quite big, including the Salty Lake, camel farm, English mountain, several hot springs etc. April is, however, not the best time to go, it may be windy and dusty (reduced visibility).Written 8 May 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Micro M20 contributionsIt is 30 mins walk from international hot spring hotel. Very nice easy walk. You end up on a high point where there was a british security point in a.spot that oversees the whole oasis.
We loved it but the ruins are not impressive in themselves just the bit of history behind it.Written 16 September 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. This could take an hour and a half.Written 5 May 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Joanne ClaytonCairo, Egypt15 contributionsIt was really amazing to visit this ancient spring and experience the cool fresh waters on a hot desert day. Al Haiz Oasis were expert Bedouin guides with nice 4x4 Landcruisers to cross the dunes and music!Written 19 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
