- Oana S23 contributionsWe (myself, my partner and our 15-year-old son) had such a fantastic time touring the Black and the White Deserts with Mohammed. From the amazing scenery and the absolutely delicious, freshly prepared meals to our welcoming host, this experience was one of our best – and should definitely be on your list when visiting Egypt.
Everything was perfectly organised, including the transfer to and from Giza/Cairo airport. Everything went smoothly and on time.
To start with, Mohammed and his family welcomed us for lunch in the Baharyia Oasis – at their place, itself an oasis in the oasis. Fresh drinks and a delicious meal topped up our energies for the day ahead. During the tour, Mohammed showed us many great places, with beautiful rock formations, incredible views, amazing colours and, also, the rather impressive Crystal Mountain. He told us fascinating background stories and we had really interesting conversations.
We then camped in the desert. Mohammed set up in no time a functional kitchen and a charming dining area and then proceeded to cook a lovely meal with the best grilled chicken ever. After watching the stars (so many!) we slept so well in the tent he had set up for us. The day after we enjoyed some sandboarding and then bathed in a (very) hot spring.
Throughout all this, Mohammed was patient, kind and informative without being intrusive. Moreover, through his local knowledge and expertise we were able to find out so much more about the places we saw and gain an insight into the daily lives of the people there. In fact, we spent 3 nights in the desert. We couldn´t tell what was coming, but trusted our hosts and did well so. We had stops at really touching sites. We saw red sand desert because of the sunset, we saw desert foxes visiting our camp, we did sandboarding, saw whtite desert, new white desert and black desert, hot spring-pool at an beduine house, the smallest oasis ever and a wid camel!
The team was polite and helpful and kept in the background. After a week in Cairo it was so surprising for us to meet you and your team with a somehow different cultural behavior and attitude - so soothing to our souls.
Mahmud always said "Don´t worry!". We can for sure testify that this wasn´t only words, but they were based on knowledge about his job and the desert. And a caring heart also!
We couldn´t believe that it never got boring, but was a perfect balance of experiencing the desert and nature on one hand and relaxing on the other hand.

Everything was well organized - pick up in Cairo, trip to the oasis and trip to the Black and White Deserts. Overnight stay right under the stars, magical dinner in the desert and many beautiful views and experiences. We highly recommend this company, they are truly professionals with a kind approach. Khaled and Tamar are such great guides and even better person. The genuine energy, passion and happiness they bring is off the chart.
We were blown away by the beauty of the landscape, the natural flow of the tour and the pleasure we shared around the fire, camping under the milky way and the shooting stars.
We will remember this adventure for a long long time and we would come back in a heartbeat. Having to do this tour again, we would of stayed one or two more nights.
