What travellers are saying
- Damien2 contributionsVery friendly staff who is very helpful and always easy communication. We have done our Advanced Adventurer certficate and added two fun dives after the course. All dives and the course have been conducted very professionnally, friendly and very securely. We went every dive to other dive sites to explore most of the pehrentian. Material is in very good shape.
All in all a really great experience. Would recommend the place 100%!

- Shamy RBachok, Malaysia1 contributionTheir website accurately reflects their commitment. From arriving as a stranger to leaving as family, their exceptional professionalism shines through in every aspect of their services. I completed my Open Water course followed by subsequent courses here, and each experience was exemplary. I highly recommend them without hesitation, you won't regret it.Written 21 June 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EC2 contributionsI had a really enjoyed the Open Water PADI course with instructor Matmie; he taught myself and the other student alot about diving and made the experience great! I liked that it was a 2:1 ratio of students:instructors, and that Matmie cared and could spend time making sure each of us were okay.
It’s a nice environment in Panorama and it’s good that accommodation and breakfast is included with dive coursesWritten 19 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A special thanks have to go to the dive instructors: Yola, Greg, Brett and Abi they were kind and professional at the same time. I was solo traveling but never been actually alone at any time, we went out eating together and sunbathing. I really recommend to book with them, u won’t regret it.Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TinaNorth Frodingham, UK16 contributionsAn excellent friendly place to learn and improve your diving skills. A lovely atmosphere always a smiling face. Jaja at reception always smiling and helpful when booking dives. A huge mention to BJ the dive shop cat, chilled and such a great character. Thank you to everyone for making my first (and not my last) trip to the island memorable.Written 26 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Serry E2 contributionsI did my Open Water certification here and fell in love with the place and its people. Not just a dive center, but a community. Pizza parties on Fridays, and very chill vibes every day. Excited to come back here in the future. The prices are also the best in Perhentian, and one of the cheapest places in the world to get certified!Written 9 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. But a special thanks to our guide Moamed Sakr, very good, kind and extremely attentive to our safety. He is really good! I hope to dive again with this guy!

Best choice ever to do my OWD course there!
Very helpful in organizing the trip (thanks Rais). All the people are very professional and helpful, experienced, patient (thanks Rizal 😉) and its a lot of fun. Equipment is well maintained.
Rooms are simple but clean and comfy and reasonably priced.
Very friendly atmosphere, you get breakfast every day, have dinner together, enjoy the best fish BBQ by Chef Adam 👌 and have a good time. Feels like a little family 👌💪go there and have a good time, also when you don't stay there...everybody is welcome !!

The instructors were knowledgeable, friendly, and made sure everyone felt comfortable throughout the entire process. The overall atmosphere was welcoming, and I really appreciated how supportive everyone was. The only thing I would mention is that the course felt a bit short—there was a lot to learn and experience, and it would have been great to have a bit more time to dive deeper into the skills and practice. That said, it was an incredible introduction to freediving, and I’d highly recommend it!Written 6 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Wan Nabilah14 contributionsSeahorse Diver Guesthouse offers an exceptional stay with top-notch service. I have stayed there twice (back in May in Family Room with shared bathroom), and recently in Standard Room, both of which super comfortable and well-maintained. The food is delicious, and just loved starting the day with a beautiful sunrise view. The balcony and the reading area are just perfect after a long day activities. I had a great time with friends just chilling there at night on hammock!
The staff especially Yan, who is so patiently replying to my every enquiries and requests. Friendly gestures and service from Bob, Su, Din, Afif and a few others whom I don't get to get to ask for names! Looking forward to staying with you all again next month with different room type! Wishing you all the very best and thank you for going above and beyond :)Written 12 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The owner Musky and diving instructor Roslan, divemaster Matt and assistant Awiz are all knowledgeable about the dive sites in the area and very friendly. Well maintained equipment is a big plus! The shop itself is a great area to relax in between and after the dives, as well as a great place to grab a bite or some drinks. Highly recommend!Written 23 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- TiZ_CHong Kong, null, Hong Kong4 contributionsIt was my first travel in two years since Covid and I am glad my husband had made a good choice in choosing Angel Diver for our 5-day trip to the Perhentian Island.
We are travelling with a group of friends, who took the open water course with Instructor Dailos. The group was a bit anxious at first as some of them were not very good at swimming but Dailos definitely did a good job and taught them all the skills and techniques while maintaining the good fun!
My husband and I did fun dives with Dailos, Ana and Ylenie who were all very experienced instructors and knew the dive sites very well. The dive requirements were well mantained and the dive shop was well organised.
I would highly recommend Angel Diver to anyone who wants to explore the underwater world.
**However**, since we were travelling during the end of Ramadan and the start of Hari Raya and the island is mainly operated by local Malay, most of the restaurants were closed in the morning, so no breakfasts were served. Eventually, when the restaurants were opened, they were overloaded with orders ( at one dinner it took us 3 hours to have our food on the table since we placed the order). So you might want to check with the local traditions and bring some foods yourself just in case.Written 5 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. All of which was locked up at the end of the day. Every single staff member (Bart, Didi and Mat) there was friendly and very knowledgeable. I only planned to do 6 fun dives. However, I ended up adding 3 more fun dives and extending for a couple more nights because I honestly had so much fun!
The dorm rooms are right above the dive centre. A total of 20 beds. If you’re staying there and it’s fully booked, be prepared to bring an extension because the sockets are limited. Bear in mind, the bathrooms are downstairs, by the dive centre. The dorms were clean and comfortable. Electricity on from 7pm to 7am. However, there is solar power during the day for you to charge your phones. No hairdryers allowed. They have a huge sign saying that they’re prohibited. Air conditioning very cold at night. Blankets and towels are available with a deposit.
Let’s move on to dive sites. Overall AMAZING! So beautiful. Such a wide variety of fish and coral. If you are there, make sure to not miss SanChoy wreck! I loved it so much. The instructors Didi, Tony and Nur were very knowledgeable and patient.
The dive centre is located in the middle of Long Beach, a few mins walk from the party but far enough that it’s not noisy at night.
Overall, highly recommended for fun dives and stay.Written 1 September 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
