My wife and I camp here yearly and this year we are back a second time. We come in May before the schools let out and in September when the children have gone back to school. The campground is less crowded and quieter. As for the park, it is well run by their staff. Easy check in upon arrival and even easier checkout. The park has 400+ campsites, from primitive camping to full hookups. The RV campsites are all paved and level with WES at each site. The sites are well groomed and spacious. Campers are not on top of each other. They have a large pool, tennis courts, hiking/biking trails and a lake to fish in. Laundromat on ground and bath houses spaced out well for all campers. The fees are very reasonable. We greatly enjoy our time here,

Beautiful views off of the pier. The staff were friendly. The bar staff were also very friendly. Lots of fun watching the fisherman.

My BFF and I visited this small zoo. It's a smaller zoo that is extremely well kept. We enjoyed visiting with the animals even though they were rather warm. It was refreshing to see each had their very own water feature if they became too hot. No all zoos do that for their animals.
There were school children there, but not all of the limited attractions were opened like the train, rail cars, carousel or zip line. They did have a mining experience, but limited amount of buckets.
Their gift shop was well laid out, but the two employees running it were extremely overwhelmed by the amount of kids buying and searching for their gifts.
Don't forget to bring 2 quarters and a penny for the cheapest souvenir!
Was this an all day experience? No, about and hour worth. 2 people cost over $40. However, the restaurant attached to the zoo that you do not have to buy a zoo ticket to is well worth it.

We stopped by there as we were leaving on our last day of our vacation. I would recommend using the bathroom before you stop there. Also, take a bottled water to get the sand off of you before getting back into your vehicle.

Good place to stop and get info on things to do. Friendly people with good advice. They also have a coupon book with some discounts that may be handy for you.

This is a 1.6 mile in (and 1.6 Mile out) trail leading to the beach. Most of the trail is a gravel road with the exception of the last 1/4 mile through the sand dunes. The reward is the isolated beach at the end of the hike.

Had no intention of driving to Fort Morgan, we were just out exploring the area and drove down to the end of the road and there was Fort Morgan. We were totally impressed. Just reading the history, seeing the artifacts, walking along the grounds in awe of this history there...just Wow. As others stated, the views from the top of the Fort were beautiful. There is a charge to get in, but if you are military, for you it is free, and they offer a senior discount also.

We decided to take a break from the beach and spend a day at Waterville USA on Wednesday to break up our trip. We got tickets online and also paid for a cabana. I wouldn't say a cabana is necessary as there are plenty of lounge chairs around the park, but it was nice to have a personal server to bring food and drinks and to be able to take a relaxing break in private. First let me say that it wasn't overly crowded but it seemed a little crowded early in the day, but only because 3 of the slides were not working due to a water supply issue. They got that fixed around lunch time and from then on it didn't seem crowded at all. I think the longest we waited was maybe 10 minutes, but most times we walked straight on the slides or had a couple of minutes wait. They have 9 slides in total once they were all operational. The only negatives would be the lazy river, the wave pool, and the food. The lazy river doesn't have much current, it's relaxing but would be nice if it moved a little faster. The wave pool is not very wavy. I don't know that I'd call those waves. My son loves the wave pools at other water parks but we barely spent time in this one. Also the food was average theme park food at best, but that's to be expected. I feel like for the price we paid we more than got our money's worth. We would definitely come back again.

Great music, food especially shrimp, beautiful day,I would like to tell people to be sure to go to the festival next year. Parking and traffic control was handled with no problems. This festival was a highlight of my trip in the south this year.

Wonderful Parish. They have good mass times - 8:00 for the early people but later masses too for those who want to have lunch in gulf shores if you stay in Fort Morgan.

We took our cavalier and he loved it. They can get in the lake water, which in the heat was great. They have a dog water fountain for drinking and a freshwater hose to rinse your pup before leaving.

As a fairly experienced birder, I have so enjoyed the Alabama Coastal Birding Trail (ACBT). Note that the ACBT consists of over 50 sites in Baldwin County (Orange Beach and Gulf Shores are in Baldwin County) and Mobile County. Several great ACBT sites are in the Orange Beach/Gulf Shores/Gulf State Park areas. I have birded them all and have found it to be some of the best, most diverse birding anywhere in the world. Even if you are not a "birder", a tour of the ACBT will take you to some really beautiful, quiet places where you can relax and enjoy God's gifts of nature to us.

We visit this dog park every day that we are in the Gulf Shore and Orange beach areas. We travel with our dogs who need to get out and run a bit. This is a friendly dog park, very popular and can be very busy at times. It’s great socialization for the dogs and often several or more dogs get up a crazy game of chase to wear them all out eventually. Mornings are a bit quieter there. Afternoons are typically pretty busy with people dropping in with their dogs after work from say 4pm on to until dusk. There is shade, two water stations for the dogs, trees and large open spaces for running and fetching, refuse bags and disposal stations as well as seating.
