- Mike DHua Hin, Thailand643 contributionsA fun place to hang out in the evening with plenty to see and eat. Whether you want a sit-down restaurant or want to try the street food stalls, you will find them here.
If you're staying nearby this might be a nightly excursion, it was for me!
There are plenty of shops here too, and don't forget the river cruise!
On the down side, and this is just how I personally feel about it. I don't really care for the people that dress as Spiderman, Hello Kitty, etc, looking to make some money when tourists want a photo with them. I do have to say that they are not aggressive here like they can be in other parts of the world, just be aware that they want money if you take a photo with them.
Also, they seem to be popular here but I found those trishaws (lighted up peddle transports) with the loud blaring music a bit obnoxious.Written 19 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - sally6001oundle25 contributionsThis is billed as a river walk but really there is little to see of interest. Once you are beside the river either walk into the town or use one of the trikes to peddle you around . Cheap enough for a 45min tour they will wait for you at each place of interest. I would recommend as it was so hot and exhausting and they know where to go instead of working with a map if you have limited time .Written 9 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Carrie Ng6 contributionsOur family of 4 stayed at Double Tree Hilton Melaka and drove for about 30mins to reach Woof Station. The location is at a landed property with a huge garden for the 6 dogs to roam around. The dogs were able to come into the cafe/kitchen area with Aircon. The dogs were well-trained by the owners and understand many commands & can even shake hands with us! My boys had a fun-filled afternoon with all the doggies with different personalities! Owners (Fong and Sharine) were very friendly and we felt like we were chatting with our old friends. Will definitely come back again!Written 23 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Darran WWoonona, Australia46 contributionsFrom the moment we walked in the door we were greeted by the enthusiastic artist’s son. So proud of the works his father has done (and continues to do). We meandered around the studio stopping at various pieces on display, flickering through smaller prints showing life along the Melaka riversides. Venturing further inside we come across a colourful display of three dancers. It grabbed our attention - so much so, we couldn’t resist.
The son proudly showed off more private areas of the gallery and took us on a tour of the entire residence. Seeing original sketches locked away in humidity controlled cabinets - years of works that themselves are timeless and no doubt a proud history.
Meeting the artist Tham Siew Inn himself made our purchase that even more special. Him being able to talk his vision, and explaining the detail in our purchase immediately brought it to life.
Thoroughly recommend a visit - but watch out - wandering through this large gallery - you will no doubt be mesmerised and also walk away with a masterpiece too.Written 9 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
