Very nice after the upgrade Pity it took forevermore
THE only concern is the escalator from the roof top parking is broken most of the time
The area around the Nedbank ATM (below the escalator ) needs more lights

We drove around for hours in Chartwell looking for this church, without any luck. The church is actually in Benoni, not Chartwell and the photo is incorrect! I only rated it poor because of the incorrect details

The OR Tambo Cultural Precinct has the potential to be one of the premier attractions on the East Rand, it just needs more visitors. In its present state I would rate it 3/5 but,on potential a definite 5/5, so a 4/5 seems reasonable, but do visit,it is well worth the trip.

The Centre is the start of a revitalisation of the southern side of Wattville, and could soon rival the world famous Vilakazi Street in Soweto. Using green construction the precinct has been built onto the hill slope looking east over the Leeupan, and site takes advantage of both the environmental sensitivity of the pan, and the cultural attraction of Oliver Tambo's home town of Wattville.

The exhibits give a fascinating insight into the life of one of South Africa's true heroes, and the crafts workshops are worth visiting. Unfortunately the conference facilities are a bit basic, and the centre management misses a trick by not offering birding tours of the Leeupan. The young lady who welcomed our group to the precinct spoke lovingly and knowledgeably about the pan's bird life, but the gate was locked so a walk to the water's edge to check out the obvious variety of wetland and grassland birds was not possible.

Access off Heidelberg Road (R23) via Dube Street and Tame Ave is not inspiring, and could be intimidating for the faint of heart.

The view across the pan is spoiled by a giant yellow warehouse on the ridge on the other side. Just ignore this eyesore and concentrate on the water and wetlands in the foreground

It really does need more visitors

Ebotse Links is a golf course, about 40 minutes drive from Pretoria. The course is magnificent. Maintenance is on-going but it does not affect our play. It currently has special for Monday and Tuesday.

Overall, the course is satisfying and we had an enjoyable time there.
