After five years, due to COVID etc I finally came back to Creation for a lunch.
What a pity that I can not go there every Sunday for lunch.
Their food and wine pairing I can only score as 10 out of 10!
The wines are among the best of the Hemel en Aarde valley and their food would easily score one or maybe two Michelin stars in Europe and the quality/price is amazing.
Do not miss this if you are in the area.

Stunningly beautiful place, very clean, the food was very good and we expected it even more expensive than it was. Wine was good and very friendly people. Absolutely can not understand why you would give less than 5 stars! We stopped on the way from Capetown to Hermanus and had a lovely lunch! Thank you!

Lovely location. Several tasting and pairing options available. The charcuterie was fresh and plenty for 2 people. Service was friendly, and wine knowledge was excellent.

We arrived late on the day and were the only visitors. We had the full attention and heard some great stories. Wine was great - but some a little pricey. Join their “wine club” beforehand for discounts !

A nice place to taste wine and have a light lunch to soak up the wine. It is pet and child friendly and you can play Petangue but the focus is on wine! End up with a stroll through the maze (best in winter/ spring). great views.

Went to Bartho for lunch and tried 4 different wines. The rose Blom and especially the sauvignon blanc Houtskool are really something special. We had two huge platters of delicious food to share. Bartho explained himself the wines and the art of wine to us. A great experience!

Gorgeous wines in a magnificent setting. It was a cold winter day and the tasting room has a massive warm fireplace. Its an intimate space and my wife and I were the only ones there at the time. This is where we had a taste of SA's best pinot noir and one of the best chardonnays. I think its a must for visitors to the Hemel and Aarde valley.

The lady that helped us was very informative about the wines. She clearly explained the different vineyards as well as what wines were doing the best in what region. She let us taste three wines to our liking.

This was my first time to the new tasting room but I am very familiar with Seven Springs wines. Unusually it was a cold and rainy summer’s day when I visited but the welcome was very warm and friendly.
The tasting room is small and cosy, which makes it feel much more personable.
Renico took me through a tasting of their wines, explaining each of them very well.
I really recommend both of the Chardonnays, oaked and unoaked. Plus the Syrah rosé is perfect for summer.
Then we went on a tour of the cellar. Interesting to see the new barrels waiting for the grapes to be harvested.
Next door is the Onion Shed farm stall, if you are needing a light bite or coffee.
Well worth stopping by when you are visiting Hermanus and the Hemel en Aarde valley.

If you are looking for a wine tasting with a great view of the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley then Newton Johnson Family Vineyards is definitely worth a visit. Their tasting area fully takes advantage of this making the tasting experience even more special. Newton Johnson is known for their Pinot Noir's, which are always good, but we got to try some of their other whites and reds as well. We even had an opportunity to try their Albariño, which is currently very unique in the South African space. The wines, though top-notch, are on the pricier side. However, the Full Stop Rock blend, a delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Mourvèdre, is a standout as it is well-priced yet still provides the same quality as the other. The staff were also accommodating and helpful, even allowing the non-drinks to order some beverages from the restaurant. Overall, you can't go wrong visiting the Newton Johnson Family Vineyards.
