What travellers are saying
- K BLafayette, CA333 contributionsThis gallery is a real contrast to nearby Exposures. There are all kinds of interesting things to see from historic highway signs and advertising boards to mass produced SW-style souvenirs. There are some nice unique items as well. Something is available for every budget. Photo ops are unlimited.Written 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- K BLafayette, CA333 contributionsThis place is simply amazing with art of all kinds: huge sculptures, small jewels, paintings, on and on.
A lot of excellent sculpture can be found on the property outdoors and they do not limit photography of this. One thing I was disappointed in was they do not allow photography inside. There are so many beautiful things it would be nice to have a memory of. But it was explained to me that unscrupulous individuals have copied the art and offered it for sale on line! As usual, a few crooks spoil it for everybody elseWritten 10 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Christina d1 contributionMy sister-in-law and I recently had the pleasure of learning how to work with metal clay at the studio of artist Joan Roberts. You can see her fine silver pieces on display at the Sedona Art Center.
Joan is one of a few artists found on the Sedona Art Center website who offer private instruction in various mediums. She was luckily available the week we vacationed in Sedona. Joan was very accommodating as we had to change the day for the lesson due to weather.
Joan has a beautiful light-filled studio well- equipped with all the tools, stamps, and accessories (jump rings, cords, gem stones) you could wish for. On top of that, she is that unique combination of an experienced and award- winning artist who is also a wonderful teacher. She has a passion for metal clay and it shows. Joan has a plethora of information to share. My sister-in-law and I learned so much from her in a short space of time. She deftly worked with each of us while also taking some time on a piece of her own. Depending on your abilities and whether you have a clear vision of what you want to create, you will have time to make more than one beautiful silver piece. I was able to make two pedants (shown below) and my sister-in-law made a gorgeous abstract pendant. We learned so many different techniques for jewelry creation as well as how to finish a piece properly with burnishing, polishing and patina effects. The lessons are separated into two parts ( ~3-4 hrs each session) due to the nature of metal clay. After firing, the metal clay turns into fine silver, about 99+% pure. Joan sent us a picture of our creations after they were fired in her kiln which built up our excitement to return and finish our pieces. We were both thrilled with the results at the end of the lesson.
If you are looking for a one-of-a-kind opportunity to learn from an experienced Sedona artist and bring home extraordinary pieces of handmade pure silver jewelry, we would highly recommend Joan Roberts.Written 30 March 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Anya Cameron11 contributionsThis little shop is a complete delight and we found highest quality, beautiful photos, prints, cards and even a few children's books about the Hummingbirds
which grace Sedona annually on their migration south.
There's also lovely jewelry by carefully selected local artists.
We had a lovely connection with the owner, Beth Kingsley Hawkins and
learned about she & her husband's devotion to these beautiful birds
thru the Hummingbird Society. Had no idea any of this existed until
this auspicious meeting!
What a precious find in our travels! Beth is the true gem of visiting this beautiful gallery! Worth your time to stop here to learn more!Written 4 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Pazu_pastBisbee, AZ88 contributionsThe Honshin Fine Art Gallery was filled with unique, lovely and spiritual art. The woman who helped us, Crystal, was so knowledgeable and passionate about the art and she was very helpful as well. We found some beautiful ceramic pieces and the original art was amazing. An all around wonderful gallery!Written 12 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marcia2424Fairfax, VA361 contributionsI am the happy owner of one of Chris Navarro's "Almost Home" sculptures, which brings me joy every day. - Redman367Sedona, AZ50 contributionsSo we have heard about this artist for quite so time now, finally got a chance to see his gallery in person. All I can say is WOW. This guy is truly unbelievable. He visualizes what he wants to do and is able to put it on canvas with a style that is from another world. We were fortunate enough to meet him and tell him how much we enjoy his work. He even signed his book for my wife. Donna was also there and was very personable and helpful. I highly recommend visiting this gallery when in Sedona.Written 2 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Tao L1 contributionI had a great time at Greg Lawson's Gallery at La Jolla. Didn't find a tripadvisor page there so I post my review here. There are lots of photography about landscaping, wild animals and nature. I had the pleasure to meet Greg in person and he shared a lot of stories when he shot the photos. Recommend this place to anyone who is interested in photography or art in general.Written 9 September 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Victoria PCarefree, AZ1,458 contributionsWhenever we visit Sedona, we stop into Rowe Gallery. Such a treat for the eyes to see the bronze work and paintings. The staff are very welcoming. We love the live tree trunk growing inside the gallery. These are mostly bronze sculptures; some realistic and some whimsical.Written 19 August 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- on_the_go_98765Tucson17,288 contributionsNothing "spoke" to me this visit but I thoroughly enjoyed viewing the gallery, in profound appreciation of the artistic view of those things that compose "life." We need these enriching experiences to add the zest and spice to our lives. Andrea Smith adds so much to that enjoyment.Written 28 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- on_the_go_98765Tucson17,288 contributionsIt's been a couple of years since our last visit to this interesting shop. The variety ranges from exquisite burlwood carved bowls to artistic jewelry (each a work of art). The rustic look fits in well with the Mexican village theme that defines Tlaquepaque.Written 15 June 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
