I thoroughly enjoyed this trip with Heather and Captain Wade. They make everyone feel comfortable before even leaving the dock. They're very personable and accommodating to all.
After we had a long encounter with dolphins, Heather swam around with the guests that were willing to brave the cold water. As a local, I will certainly go out with them again (once it gets warmer). I live down here because I don't like the cold. 😉
As our trip was winding down, we came across an injured turtle. Captain Wade and Heather did their best to rescue it on our tour (all guests said "yes, we have to try") but after an hour, we had to leave it in the hands of the Coast Guard. Unfortunately, they were unable to capture it as well. The next day, however, Capt. Wade and Heather crossed its path again and were able to secure it and bring it to deeper water so the Coast Guard could load it up and get it to the Turtle Hospital in Marathon.
It was an amazing experience. I highly recommend Honest Eco. I certainly will be going out with them again one day, when it's warm enough for me. 😂
Rescue photos courtesy of Captain Wade. He knew I wanted a follow up to see if the turtle was rescued.
