What an amazing experience. Words can't describe how beautiful and tranquil the butterfly house is. I had to return later in the day for a second visit, I loved it so much. I doubt you will ever see as many Butterflies, flying around you, anywhere else. The Butterflies and birds all appear to be living an enriched and healthy life and do not appear to be hindered by the presence of human visitors ( all of whom were quiet & respectful to the inhabitants as they walked round the exhibit). Visit here is a must to any nature lovers.

Our time with Nancy and her parrots was the highlight of our trip to Key West. We learned a lot and enjoyed listening to her stories and watching her interact with a Hyacinth Macaw who was very eager to show us many of the things he has learned.

It was very pretty, nice break from all the crowds. It would be a nice place to eat your lunch. It's 10 dollars per adult. Manage expectations, it is a botanical gardens so if you are not interested in plants and trees it might not be very interesting to you.

A peaceful Sanctuary run by people who love animals and nature. Key West cement blight and hotels have built up all around a few natural places. Great turtle pond for the kids to observe tutles from a clise distance. Free, but donations help the place rehabilitate all the local and migrating injured animals from boats, cars, fishing hooks and entanglements, and fireworks. Some birds just fly in wild because there is green space and natural foliage there. Thank you Jim for the tour. Thank you all volunteers for what you do for nature.
