This was actually one of the surprising highlights of my Key West vacation. If you have read any of Hemmingway’s books you will appreciate the history here since he wrote ~70% of his novels while living here; and even if you haven’t read his work you will enjoy learning the history of both the house and Hemmingway himself. This is definitely something anyone visiting Key West should do if they have time!!!

One of the most beautiful places to visit. There was so much to see and it felt like you were in a fairytale. If you're in Key West, this is definitely a must.

A must see when visiting key west if you are into history. The tour guide was excellent and answered all of our questions and we did not feel rushed.

Very interesting tour! We are so glad we took the time to go to USCG INGHAM. We went with 10-year-olds and while they didn’t appreciate the history, they still enjoyed exploring the ship. Make sure you check out the binoculars on the main level - super cool!

We were lucky to have the whole tour to ourselves. We learned a lot about how rum is made and history of Hemingway. I would recommend going here first before touring his home.

Right in the middle of Key West tourist attractions is this commercialized museum.
The greeter at the top of the stairs had several interesting stories about the "wrecking" culture. In the heyday, there was 1 wreck weekly to be salvaged.
Walk to the top of the lookout.
    Recommended ever if it's corny.

The roads were all blocked for sewer construction so I had to park elsewhere (near the post office) and pay 28 bucks for 3 hours, then walk 1/2 mile. Some local residents were able to drive to Eco center and park in front for free. I knew I was going to Key West so I understand the Key West parking issues are all over and all the time, even in the off-season.
The Florida keys Eco center once you find it has displays and nice bathrooms. It's free admission not including off site parking.

This was a gorgeous church and worth seeing! We loved bed seeing the Grotto stone and learning the history of what has protected the island since 1922! This is a must-see if you’ve never visited before!

A cozy dimly-lit nest that is chock-full of dusty historical nautical treasures. Fascinating aspects of how Key West got its start as a pack of shipwreck scavengers. These dueling scavenger families would greedily strip a wreck lickety-split. Take the cargo and probably knock-in a few heads. These rapacious ghouls were the precursors before the mob-connected rum runners arrived for the Havana circuit. Nice multi-level compact museum with a high density of excellent displays and thoughtful narratives.

Great experience! Learned a lot about the history of Key West and the Overseas Railroad. We enjoyed seeing all the movies that had been filmed in Florida. Nice respite from the heat.

Great piece of history in downtown area, close to shopping and restaurants. Well presented by our guide Barbra with plenty of artifacts to view from era. Attractive gardens and David was very helpful as a greeter.

We ducked into the gallery, just planning to browse. We were very impressed with the pictures….simply beautiful! Alan graciously posed with us for a picture. It was a wonderful morning in Key West. The art we purchased will be a precious reminder of this trip and of the goodness in the world.

The entire collection was fabulous and definitely something to admire for everyone. It’s worth the trip for a visit to the artwork. Jennifer was extremely helpful and very knowledgeable about the artists and Key West as a whole. We will definitely be back!!!

Was a very quick walk through museum. Teens and husband both enjoyed because Robert the Doll was there and also war history.

Large variety of fish and other aquatic life. Very informative signage , videos and staff. It is handicap accessible, however they need to have some benches, folks can rest on if needed.
