- Amber MColumbus, Ohio, United States15 contributionsWas a pretty cool walk thought the woods and got to see neat trees. It was raining so we didn't get to enjoy all the areas but had a good time anyway. The officers were very nice.Written 5 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- mcasey350Green Bay, WI9 contributionsMike's boat is very clean and comfortable, snorkel equipment worked well, and Mike was very good with anyone who was hesitant. Mike and Jen were in the water with us and showed us lobsters, Morey eels, and so many different fish. We even were able to follow Mike thru the lighthouse to see big schools of fish ! We then went to Cheeca Rock and the coral was amazing !!! We all had a great time, Looking forward to our next trip with Mike , best snorkeling in Islamorada !!Written 13 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leslie RHolmen, WI2 contributionsThis gallery is a gem. Beautiful metal and pottery pieces at reasonable prices. The outdoor part in back is like a little park with a walking path and sitting area. Wonderfully friendly owners. Get one of a kind hand made items to remember your trip to Florida. Worth the stop if only to get a photo with Betsy the Giant Lobster.Written 16 January 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeff pArlington, VA10 contributionsInteresting monument. Several years ago, there was a book ‘the storm of the century’ which was about this 1935 hurricane.Written 20 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen HCleveland, OH26 contributionsOn 6 previous trips to Marathon, I had never heard of this place. This trip, I overheard someone on the Pigeon Key tram recommending it so my husband & I went. On Hwy 1, look for the Islander Resort; the museum sign is difficult to see and the building isn't visible from the road. The museum is small and contains very well done exhibits on the history of the Keys. The 2 films on the building of the railroad and the 1935 hurricane are excellent. When we were there, there was also an art exhibit of local artists. It takes about an hour for the films and another hour for the exhibits. I would not recommend this for children under 12 or even teens unless they're into this sort of thing.Written 14 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - 387indyCoral Springs, FL4,762 contributionsLignumvitae Key is located Islamorada, you need a boat to get there. Part of the fun is seeing all the sealife. View all the flora and fauna, birds and wildlife. Because of the pandemic everything is Covid 19 clean, social distancing, masks. The Park has lots to see and due, facilities, rentals.Written 1 November 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - St_MattyHouston, TX4,991 contributionsWe saw the pictures of this place so went to visit it. There were some nice cabanas you could use but you have to get there early to get one. The beach was mostly covered in seaweed, which wasn't what we expected. There is a boardwalk which connects the two car park areas. Most of the Beach was near the second car park so I would suggest you park there if you want to sit on whatever beach is left.
The water is clear though and you can wade out and see some fish.Written 20 March 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
