1/2 day fishing with Captain Dan, and well worth our time. It was me, my son, and my son-in-law, and we limped out on red snapper, caught some mangrove snapper, Spanish mackerel, and even 1 pompano . Captain Dan put us on fish all morning long. It was a great day of fishing. Highly recommend. Will use him again next time we are in town.

Our time in Mexico Beach was amazing. We headed to the beach without much planning in advance. Thankfully we found Barefoot Kayak & Paddle Board on day 1. The owner ( Andrea) gave us so many great recommendations for places to kayak, take neat photos and get the best local meals. Our trip was certainly made better by having Andrea's local tips. The equipment was in great shape, and we were very happy with the pricing.

Great experience from start to finish. Boat was clean comfortable and well equipped. Captain Pete was knowledgeable and very accommodating. He put us on fish immediately and when we hit our limits took us to locations to catch other fish. If it got a little slow he packed up and moved to richer grounds. Next trip I won’t have to shop around for a great guide I’ll just call Captain Pete.

We (4 of us) went on an 8 hour off shore trip with Capt. Tom Adams on 7/7/13. We had a good day of fishing. We started out the day by catching grunts and blue runners which we later used for bait. We caught about 35 Vermillion Snappers (BeeLiners) and several Red Snapper including some huge ones. Unfortunately all the red snappers were caught in federal waters and we could not keep any. We caught a couple of big sharks, a few lane snappers, grunts, spade fish, etc. It was disappointing that we did not catch any groupers. The bait we used was in addition to the grunts and blue runners was squid and cigar minnows. We went about 23 miles offshore. Capt. Tom was nice and accommodating. The boat while not exactly new was comfortable.

Just back from a combination day trip (Salmon/Bottom fish). It is fantastic that Westport has a small fleet of smaller non-party boat vessels. Captain Kevin and his deckhand are true professionals. They put you on fish safely and efficiently and are able to coach any level of fisherman - from the novice to the seasoned. The boat is capable of handling the weather and seas safely. The boat shows the pride that Captain Kevin takes in his profession. Don't hesitate to take a day to enjoy the water and the fishing with Captain Kevin and his boat "Fishin' Luhrs".

My grandson and great grandson along with myself wanted to ride jet skis. We went to spend an hour doing this and walked into a mess.
First my grandson had to take a 25 question test on boating rules. Who would expect to have to do that without any prior warning. He failed the test ( you couldn't miss more than 6), charged him $5.00 for it without telling him. I questioned this and asked if there were any literature to read regarding boating safety or in this case jet ski safety. There was no sign anywhere stating you would have to pass a boaters quiz. I looked at some of the questions and unless you boated quite a bit, you wouldn't know the answers.
While trying to talk with the woman who was waiting on us, it appeared to her that it was a complete bother to be asking her questions. She was chomping on a food while helping us and her curt one word answers were grating on me.
My grandson was offered to take the test again and we asked if there were any materials to read and she said no and they were not allowed to post that you had to take a test. We really didn't feel this was worth it because he would have to keep paying $5.00 for the test until he passed. Then we were told that you could on line and study the test then take it. At this point after dealing with testing and a very rude uninterested woman running the place, we decided to take our business elsewhere.
As we were leaving , even my 8 year old great grandson said she was rude! What does that tell you.
