What travellers are saying
- Quetini W89 contributionsExcellent Experience. We loved all the squirrels during the way. Was amazing to feed the giraffe and see the elephants. The final part with the slide where the crocodile can swim above you was amazing. Our fourth time and we still coming back. I love to have the bikes, the draft beers, and all stops with snacksWritten 28 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BigMerkGlasgow, UK2,564 contributionsI visited here both days I was in Miami. It’s a nice spot to walk but it’s not a huge area. It leads to Bayside Marketplace from downtown and overlooks the water and port. There was some evidence of rough sleeping in the park but that’s not a shock and it wasn’t intrusive.Written 22 February 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - FlavioAmbrosioRio de Janeiro, RJ191 contributionsI visited the Frost Museum of Science with my family and we had a blast! The museum is very spacious and has a lot of interactive exhibits that appeal to all ages. We especially enjoyed the aquarium, where we saw sharks, rays, and colorful fish. The planetarium show was also amazing, with stunning visuals and sound effects. The museum has a convenient parking garage and a nice cafe. It is a great place to spend some hours and learn about science in a fun way. Highly recommended!Written 15 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Patricia S3 contributionsI attended with a family of four. Since I am 81 years old I enquired about the availability of wheelchairs. The website assured us that there were scooters available for rent. This statement was also found under on another website. We arrived to find they no longer rent scooters and that the manual wheelchairs were available for the rental cost of $35. That certainly put a damper on our day. We found the animals delightful and enjoyed the ability to touch them. I would like to see more assistance to locate each event.Written 17 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon RTampa, FL28 contributionsMonkey Jungle was founded in the 1930s and is still owned by the same family. It really is a hidden gem located outside Miami Proper. We were able to spend about 2.5 hours there wondering around the lush grounds. Everything is super clean and well maintained. There are of course monkeys, but also some reptiles that will get your attention, and several bird species. We attended three different informational shows . It was fun to feed the tortoises and the iguana , along with learning their histories. You can also purchase packets of dried fruit to place in bowls for the monkeys to retrieve. . The staff are very friendly and are full of great information . (I believe there are over 400 monkeys on property). We even got to see one swim ! I definitely suggest stopping in. I don’t think you will be disappointed.Written 14 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Silvana DSouth Carolina32 contributionsWhat I found is a little bit of heaven! Small beach in a shelter area. Overlooking Biscayne Bay and the city of Miami but without the traffic. A restaurant. The park offers Kayak and Paddle Board rentals and has walking trails and a Marina. Nice place to ride your bike or walking among nature. Entrance fee is $5 on weekdays and $7 on weekends.Written 13 January 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - J JFort Lauderdale, FL326 contributionsTropical park is a huge park with so many things to do. We came here for Asian culture festival which has been the new location for a couple years now (formally it was at fruit and spice park). The organization of the festival was nicely arranged around the paved walking path next to the lake. There are plenty of parking spots in and around the park in addition to the lots.
The list of amenities are plenty:
Bathrooms
Paved paths
Trails
Lake for fishing
Sport courts (baseball, basketball, soccer)
You can rent pedal boats for the lake
Fitness course
A giant hill!
And more.
Great park. Very clean and well maintained. I think it may be the largest of Miami’s 250+ parks.Written 5 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It gives you great historic information and some interesting tidbits. I would go to Fairchild Gardens and Viscaya first, but this is a good addition to the story of South Florida.Written 1 February 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BillGibson1New York City, NY323 contributionsThis place is great. You have to reserve to get in, so it's like you have a private garden all to yourself. It's not huge, but really interesting. I will go here every time I visit Miami. It's a total hidden gem.Written 19 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - David SMiddlesbrough, UK2,379 contributionsMy wife and I stopped off in Domino Park in Little Havana as part of a larger tour of the amazing city of Miami. Dozens of locals were frantically engaged in games of Dominos all across a relatively compact area. It was truly fascinating to watch and fantastic to take in the all encompassing Latin vibe.Written 6 June 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
