The safely was essential and provided upon arrival and reminded before departure on the pontoon. The instructor of the jetski was also very detailed and professional. Initially we needed to wait very long (about 20 mins) before the tour actually started (our tour guide disappeared and it was unclear where he'd went), but once we got out to the bay we got plenty of time on the jetskis, great instructions and even complementary photos taken for us (usually it costs 20 USD extra apparenty) because it was my boyfriend's birthday. - Doowop2 contributionsHad such a hold time with these guys. Very easy and chill trip packed in with so much fun! None stop always something to do! Jet skis and tubing was so much fun and at the same time just kicking back partying. Honestly highly recommend. Comfortable, fun and professional experience all around. Great crew great times. We ended going around in circles which is not particularly interesting. Before we go it was raining with lightning and thunder so they told us to wait until it was safe, that was very important, also they provide all the equipment to be safe during the trip. The guy took photos and videos very pretty. Just bring mosquitos repellent bc there are mangroves. Our guide Jacky took very good care of us and took us to the best spots. Definitely recommended! We will come back and will book this tour again with Banana Joe Tours! - Campbell M1 contributionI’ll start with the positives: the jetski ride itself was amazing - 45 mins to an hour is PLENTY of time to have a go at it if it’s your first time, so I highly recommend it.
Now for the negatives: the tour is advertised as $99, but after you book it, the confirmation email tells you to bring along $60 for gas, so it’s really a $160 tour (classic tourist trap, kind of expected). I don’t think I’ve ever had so much trouble finding the start point of a tour before. The tour says “South Beach” but the boat actually picks you up from Mid Beach, so if you’re staying in South Beach, don’t book in haste expecting you can get there quickly. I originally booked for 12 noon, then after panicking to get to Mid Beach quickly, I struggled to find where the boat left off from. I tried to contact the tour operators multiple times with no luck, then after some very mixed and vague instructions, I was late and had to reschedule for the 3:30 session. When I came back later, I still couldn’t find the starting spot - after asking countless people where to go, it turns out there were no signs/posters at the correct location anyway. PLEASE put up a sign saying “JetSki tours start here!” or something similar. Eventually I worked it out with another very confused couple who were set to do the tour as well. Worst tour instructions ever, and almost lost more money than I should have. If this company can find a way to advertise better where their tour starts from (emailing a picture of a map with the location pinpointed is a great start) and the two tour operators can get on the same page with each other about those directions, then this tour would be a 10/10.
