- michael sNewberry, FL220 contributionsWe took my nephew and a couple of teenagers to Palmetto Golf Course to have great fun on the miniature golf course. We all had a blast and the prices are reasonable. The course could use a little cleaning but it’s in good shape. I’ve definitely played on some courses much worse off.Written 11 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mikek686Key West, FL823 contributionsThe course in good condition and the staff we had contact with were great we had a very slow foursome in front of us and were obviously holding everyone else up one of the staff told us to pass them that there was nobody in front of that foursome so we did and had an enjoyable round of golf. The restaurant on site was nice the food tasty and staff very niceWritten 16 November 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Roam8258981 contributionwent out to play late afternoon during the week, first i want to say the staff here is absolutely excellent, helped me with everything I needed, the course is really very plain or at least the west course is, got rained out on number 10, but the course was in good shape. I would play this course again.Written 21 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- MSW4747Camden, ME33 contributionsThis course has had major renovations in past year and is significantly improved. Tees and greens appear to have been redone; new cart paths. The older reviews from 2016 are not the course as it is now. Staff are terrific. It is a great course for snowbirds who have not played golf for several months. Plus, it is inexpensive - only $13 for walking nine holes at all hours of the day.Written 17 February 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WahoocatcherNacogdoches, TX36 contributionsI have played just about every golf course in the Miami/Ft.Lauderdale area and this is my favorite. Superbly groomed - awesome landscape. The greens are perfect. It's a tight course so you really have to bring your "A" game. But if you play it disciplined you will be delighted with your score. Fantastic course, fantastic crew, fantastic bar/restaurant.Written 4 February 2012This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ryan MMartinsburg, WV1 contributionpros: very nice course design. water everywhere. good fairways. consistent rough. great 19th hole. great staff interactions.
neutral: small greens, as many older courses have.
cons: very poorly maintained greens, bordering on unacceptably bad, like putting in quicksand. the greens aren’t cut or rolled properly, and are a real letdown. the greens are HORRIBLE.
many sandtraps don’t have rakes, so players don’t rake traps, which leads to the traps being poor as well, and that’s without blaming the course for how bad the traps are due to the miami weather, as in, lots of short rain storms.
unacceptable putting green. literally the only putting green I’ve ever seen worse was at a driving range some guy ran out of the yard of his trailer home in west virginia, which was astroturf on concrete.
the putting green really makes you question your decision to golf here, and shows that management takes no pride in the facilities.
range balls are also horrible, and some of the worst quality i’ve run into since the trailer home driving range i mentioned earlier which had less duds per bucket than Miccosukee.
Lastly, the carts are given out totally soaked down and wet, so get ready for swamp butt from the get go.
I understand that clean carts are important, but giving the carts out soaking wet is ridiculous, and is a really crappy way to start a round.
The main problem with this course is that they know they have a captive audience. it’s one of the only courses around so they are guaranteed players regardless of how poor the greens and facilities are, and they take advantage.
But, at least for miami, the pricing isn’t ridiculous, the course design and water hazards are really good, and the staff treats everyone well, so three stars, which is the best i can possibly give a course with the greens as poor as they are.Written 22 December 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Back 9 are tougher than front 9 you need a straight game to score well, greens are hard and fast unless wet from rain. Great practice facility and practice greens, good service from starters and decent food. Great twighlight rate for quality of course.Written 7 May 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- 459anthonynMiami, FL11 contributionsI went to play a round of golf and was highly pleased with the improvements made recently. This course is not expensive and is challenging. The staff are friendly and assist in making the trip pleasurable. After the playing, we visited the restaurant on site. It was great because we were hungry. The food and service was good.Written 8 June 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Mypointofview2 contributionsThis course has always been sub-standard, but price was right. Now they charge as if they invested in the course. Sand traps are rock hard. Greens are eroded and with weeds. The ground is hard. Golf carts are gas-powered, and they put a power limit on them, so they move slow as it can be.Written 28 August 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
