We had a great time! We went with a total of 9 people (2 families)—5 kids (ages 13-20) and 4 of us adults. My sister’s family were 1st timers.
Tips: Arrive at rope drop and pick which ride is most important. 2 areas are early entry areas (if you are staying at a Disney resort)—Fantasy Land and Tomorrow Land.
One tip I got was— Fantasy Land has the Mine Train ride and Peter Pan right there— we were able to do both rides within opening. If you prefer Space Mountain (also worth the wait—we went back and did that at night)—then go to Tomorrow Land first.
Another tip (from a cast member at the park) — Pecos Bill’s in Adventure Land—was great for lunch. Go in a get a table first—then order on the Mobile App and you get a text when food is ready and you go to the counter and pick it up. Place was air conditioned, food took 10 min. (and it’s usually an hour)— and it was delicious.
Another Tip—Genie + was a total waste. Every standard line we waited on said 50 minutes or more ( especially Pirates of the Caribbean) and it was never that long. 15 minutes!
One more tip— Do your research, plan ahead and bring your patience. We had so much fun!
For Disney reservations (especially with big parties)— mark your 60- days to make reservations on your calendar. Get 2 people to wake up early. 3am is when midnight hits in California on our 60 day mark and then online reservations are open to everyone. We had one person make a reservation for 5 and my sister made a reservation for 4 at the same time (making 9 of us). Then the week we arrived—we asked the restaurants to seat us together and they all accommodated. (Read that tip online for people with big parties). We got into all the hard ones—Ohana, California Grille and Morimoto Asia (Disney Springs)—All FANTASTIC!!!
Fun had by all—paying it forward by the tips I got, so I hope this helps another family. Have fun and Enjoy.
