The customer service and level of professionalism was TOP NOTCH! We will definitely be returning. From the time we booked our on-line appointment until the end of the service, everything was perfect! The staff cares and treated us like royalty from the time we walked into the door.

First time in a spa & bath house and it couldn't have been better! Great service. Peaceful, relaxing and must-do bucket list item for anyone! The saunas were my favorite or the rocks you lay on. We did it on our Sunday out of the city and I'd highly recommend that to any couples visiting as well! Great way to cap off a weekend.

Visited the Intercontinental Fitness Center for a massage today and it was so unique and interesting. The massage was top notch. I’ve been having severe back pain and I walked out without an issue. After I took a steam in their locker room, finished up with a dip in the gorgeous pool and walked out a new women. 10/10 recommendations Windy City massage and their amazing massages and perfect locations.

Had Tammy for a classic pedicure. She did a great job making me feel welcome. She was professional but friendly. Did an awesome job taking care of my feet. I went to her last year around this time and came back to her because I knew she’d take good care of me.

Well I have had my share of the resort hotel spa's boasting a fantastic massage experience and always being let down so I always go into these things not expecting much! WOW not here with Marlise! :)

So I have had many many massages in my life both for relaxation and physical therapy and I can tell you the the services provided by Marlise is the best massage I ever had. She is very professional but even more importantly she is a highly trained and skillful professional. I will go back to the Ritz in Chicago just for the massage alone. I never had a masseuse so concerned with my well being and she asked me a couple times "this is your massage time and you are paying good money for it" so please let me know how I am doing and what you like or dont like. I feel sooo good and she knows how to read your body and address your painful concerns.

I visited on May 30, 2022 and I started off with a 60 minute massage however I got lucky and no one was booked behind me so I went for the 80 minute and wish I could have had the 120 massage cause it was that good. Cant wait to go back!

The spa has had a make over and it was very nice. The relaxation room, showers, and sauna and steam room were very good. Same old locks though but that's no big deal. The pool area has had a make over and seems to me they had a hot tub last time that is now gone near the pool.

Eagerly waiting to go back only next time I am going long for the 120 minute massage and want to spend a few hours at the spa recharging my hectic corporate lifestyle.

Loved the treatments and the major pampering by a well trained staff. The Diamond mani/pedi is unbeatable. Prices are sky high, but we wanted to have the lap of luxury feel on this particular day and we got it. Only negative, they charged us room service prices for some mixed nuts (no snacks available other than chocolate). That was kinda lame guys.

    Occasion: 40th Birthday Celebration (Group)

    The Great
One of my favorite spas in Chicago. Customer service is excellent. Check-in process is smooth and friendly. Relaxation Room is one of my favorite with tucked in chaise-type lounges on both sides. Vintage Bourbon Massage and the Maui Sugar Scrub & Hawaiian Honey Therapy are 2 of my favorite treatments (with scalp enhancement). Therapists are top-notch. Definitely will return.

    The OK
Spa shoes are the uncomfortable rubber ones... that cause blisters when wet and walking around. Locker Room is small/cramped. Steam Room could use Eucalyptus aromatherapy.

    The Not-So-Much
I did NOT enjoy that someone brought their screaming child (still in diapers age) into the locker room. The screaming could be heard inside the steam and sauna rooms. I also did not enjoy the dirty diaper discarded NEXT to the garbage bin because it was already overflowing with normal spa trash.

    TL;DR
*The facilities are awesome, the staff is very helpful, the massage was good too. Will be back and plan to bring my husband along as well!

    Facilites
*Pros: public areas are well appointed and expansive for a city hotel. Massive gym with peloton bikes. Large jacuzzi. Large lap pool. Dramatic water features in the communal spa waiting area provided soothing white noise. Light snacks and flavored water were a nice touch (there were yogurt pretzels and bananas chips with watermelon water when I was there). Women's locker room had great bones: separate dry sauna, wet steam rooms, rainfall showers, heated lounge chairs. I didn't get to use as I'm pregnant but I really enjoy the different types of heat humidity combinations.
*Cons: First is that the only hot drink available was caffeinated tea. It's freezing out. I wish they would have had a decaf option as I'm pregnant and avoiding caffeine.. being Asian inspired I was surprised they only had one tea option. This is a really easy fix. Second issue in my mind is also an easy fix. They don't have many toiletries in the women's locker room. No deodorant, hair spray, combs, hair ties, or really any extras. I did ask for a razor and one the nice attendants got me one. Also their skincare products are really lacking. The showers have body soap and shampoo/ conditioner and there is body lotion and mouthwash on the sink counter but no facial soap or face lotion.. something even gyms like Equinox supply. It's a must in the dry air of Chicago winters.

    Massage
*Pros: I had the prenatal 80 min massage. Good pressure and varied bed positions to accommodate a big baby belly.
*Cons: Timing was a bit truncated, but the front desk was very professional and provided a small discount so no real complaints. (Backstory is that they walked me back right at 5:45p, but spent several minutes discussing the benefits of a $45 Chinese medicine add-on.. that I didn't want.. at the end of the massage I didn't see a clock right away but 1) I got dressed, 2)waited for the massage therapist to bring a water, and then 3) walked back to the women's lockers and it was just 7:05pm when I was getting back to the lockers.)

The facilities and amenities are impeccable but then it's the Peninsula so they better be. What sets apart this Spa from others are the people. From Jackie at Guest Services to Tina and Renee (Facial and Massage techs respectively) I cannot imagine receiving better care. After my treatments, I swam for a bit, took a steam, and grabbed some lunch at the hotel. I hadn't felt that relaxed in a long time. I was kinda floating (no pun intended) about. I highly recommend The Spa at the Peninsula Chicago. I'll be back.

I had back pain following a horrible night's sleep, but the facility was great and the massage was fantastic. It relaxed my entire body. I will undoubtedly return. This location is a wonderful hidden gem. Highly reccomended!

Truly wonderful experience. Nervous as it was my first time but the owner is very calm and helpful, and put my mind at ease. The facility is very clean and comfortable! Can’t wait for my next float.

Galos Caves is now on my must do list on a recurring basis. I have a respiratory condition and found relief following a session that persisted for days. I brought a friend to see if it would be a benefit for him as well. His relief came in the form of more flexibility in his hand as he had arthritis. He got more improvement in one hand than the other but he was also convinced Galos will be a regular part of his regime.

Parking is easy as there is a large lot behind the building and a very small one across the street. You should wear white socks and comfortable clothes.

Costa Rica was my first yoga retreat, and it exceeded expectations. The accommodations were serine with friendly staff. I also appreciated the many adventure opportunities the retreat provided. On any given day, you could decide to go zip lining, horseback riding or opt to sit quietly by the pool and read. Yoga was also offered twice x day for anyone who wanted to participate. I can't wait to go on the next Wildlight adventure.

I have been to Sir Spa several times but this was my first time back since Covid. The experience was top notch! Richard and Scott were amazing! True professionals. I went to relax before an upcoming vacation. It far exceeded my expectations and truly prepared me for my trip. Thanks and I will be back very soon!
