Janine was a delightful tour guide for this event. We loved the history, food, and her entertaining upbeat personality. Even though it was raining, she kept us moving and found covered areas to stop and provide historical facts about the city. I've been on food tours before where there were small samples, that was not the case with this. Definitely come to this one hungry.

Unique. Fun. Would do it again! We had some friends visiting from out of town and were looking for something out of the ordinary. With all the tours available, we settled on the Barrel Bus since it looked so different. While not all of us in our group were beer drinkers, those who weren’t still found drinks that surprised them and were able to participate. Ted, our guide, did a fantastic job keeping us all on a schedule, although we never felt rushed. He was a wealth of knowledge about the 3 breweries we visited as well as Chicago’s beverage history. Each brewery was different from the last and offered different styles of beers. We are not normally IPA drinkers, but most of those we tried we actually enjoyed! Food served at all of them but we settled on getting a huge pretzel (get the large cheese with it) at the 2nd location. We would absolutely do this again without reservation. Clean bus, spacious and comfortable, super fun!

I never imagined riding street bikes in such a big city would be so easy and safe, and could not have asked for better hosts than Joe and Daisy. Both were friendly, personable, knowledgeable and excited to be with the 8 of us on the tour.

We opted for the night-ride to see the city in two perspectives. The guides knew details, anecdotes and stories (the little-known Cliff Calvin kind), delivered with clarity, humor and thorough story-telling.

The tour made multiple photo stops at several iconic Chicago sights. Buckingham Fountain, Crown Fountain and The Bean were especially beautiful at night, as well as the city in general. Our bikes were equipped with flashing white and red lights for safety, a zippered pouch for belongings, and a helmet because, “You would look hotter in a helmet” when biking through town.

The deep-dish pizza and Chicago dogs were both delicious, full-sized portions, and the beers were 10oz and 16oz pours. Our tour also included a choice of 4 gelato flavors, along with the history and details regarding how it differs from ice cream and other frozen treats. We ended the night together at Harry Carey’s Tavern, replete with a pint of cold “Here’s to Harry” IPA amongst the assorted cows and years of Cubs memorabilia all around.

When booking this tour, do note that the day and night tours take differing routes, but are essentially the same sights and bites. Daisy and Joe locked up the bikes, join us inside the local culinary establishments, and continued with their wit and friendly banter. It was absolutely worth every penny, and was a highlight of my stay in the Second City. Whoop! Whoop!

We are residents of the Chicago suburbs and this is a great way to experience neighborhoods we aren’t very familiar with. Joe was a fantastic guide! He’s very knowledgeable about the history of Chicago and its neighborhoods. Food destinations were unique and worthy of coming back to another time !

Had a great time on our brewery walking tour. We drank some fantastic beer at three breweries and our guide was incredibly knowledgeable about the history of beer in Chicago. It was a great way to see some really cool neighborhoods of Chicago.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Chicago by bike. It is such a fun way to see the city. I highly recommend going on this tour, even if you haven't ridden a bike in a long time. The pace is slow so that you can take in all the sights and there are plenty of stops along the way to eat yummy food and have a drink. It definitely didn't feel like 13 miles to me. Dan was an incredible host, sharing great stories and facts about the city of Chicago. He led us confidently through the streets of Chicago like the pro that he is. I highly recommend this tour!

We've booked the 12 pm tour. We paid $25 to Uber from our hotel to go to the meeting point.

Nobody at the meeting point, 10 minutes after still nobody, we called the support line who informed us 10 minutes after that the tour was in fact cancelled ...

Completely wasted our morning. Obviously, the $25 Uber was not reimbursed.
