We had a great time here! The magicians were funny and very entertaining. There were two magicians during the main show and if you have premium seats you can see an additional show which I feel was worth it. You are entertained from the time you enter until you leave. Before the show, there are magicians who do card tricks while you wait for the show to begin. The venue was filled with nostalgic pictures and was really a nice size so that everyone was able to see up close. The audience interaction adds humor to the show. I would definitely recommend stopping here if you’re in Chicago.

Thank you Dennis. Thank you for bringing us joy and wonder and awe. For mind blowing, next level slight of hand and mentalism. For making us laugh and forgetting our real world problems for a night. You are a true blessing and I thank you for sharing your gifts with all of us.
We all need more real magic in the world and Dennis is the genuine article!
Make sure to get the Encore Room addition to your ticket. Seeing his skills up close and getting to know Dennis better was such an amazing experience and worth every extra penny. I am on a tight budget and my money and I don't part ways unless it is really worth it and THIS SHOW IS WORTH IT!!!
    Can't wait to go again!

We enjoyed the first show so much we rearranged our schedule so we could catch a second performance!

Incredible job with wheelchair accessibility! You can buy ADA tickets online in any price bracket. With the tickets I reserved ahead of our trip, Second City reached out to me to inquire about how they could accommodate my needs. I've never had this happen before and the bar has now been set high for what excellence in inclusive customer service looks and feels like. The second round of tickets were ordered with a much shorter turn around time (less than 24 hours), so they did not reach out a second time and I completely understand why under the circumstances. Staff at both shows were incredibly helpful when it came to locating elevators and bathrooms, moving chairs, and making sure my husband and I were seated where we could see. Bathrooms had a handicap accessible stall.

There’s a reason why this show has stood the test of multiple decades. It’s just fun and entertaining AND family friendly.

The music (heavy in percussion of course) is also great. Lots of energy and fun vibes. And, it’s not uncomfortably loud (it’s loud but my ears weren’t ringing afterwards).

Inside Millennium Park, is this ornate and architectural wonder of the Jay Pritzker Pavillion. It is impressive to see on it's own, I'm sure during a concert or performance it would be amazing. When we arrived they were just finishing a music practice for an upcoming performance, so that was nice to hear. Enjoyed sitting here and enjoying the space.

This play was fantastic. We had heard about it for a few years and really wanted to experience it for ourselves. It lived up to everything we heard. The cast was fantastic. The stage was great. The audience was very lively. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

We are big theater-goers and have heard positive things about Steppenwolf for many years. One of its founders was Gary Sinise of CSI-NY, Apollo 13, and Forrest Gump fame. Actor John Malkovich also has connections to the theater.

We were in Chicago and saw a production of the hilarious "The Thanksgiving Play." Written by Native American scriptwriter Larissa FastHorse, the play satirizes the efforts of four well-meaning whites to stage an inoffensive Thanksgiving production for an elementary school. The writing and acting were outstanding, frequently causing the audience to laugh out loud while scoring points along the way.

As for the physical theater, the seats were comfortable and there is a bar on site open both before and after the show. There are also several nice bars and at least one very nice restaurant along the street.

This isn't the kind of place where you will see a Broadway production, but you will see an intelligent and extremely well-produced show.

This was so fun. I couldn’t recommend more. We took our teenage daughter and 8 of her friends for her birthday. The show was so entertaining. Funny, great music, amazing dancing, acrobatics. Go!

I love seeing magic and laughing and Trickery Chicago delivered. I was with friends I’d not seen in years and we all loved the space, performer, and show. The theatre seats only 35 guests so magic happens literally under your nose. Comedian/magician Arron is a personable host, and an energetic charismatic entertainer.

The interactive hour show is fast-paced and builds from fun tricks to astounding miracles. During the show you’ll be introduced to Hoppy, a mindreading bunny (sentient -if stuffed) and you’ll witness Elle the pink elephant appear and vanish. It’s clear Aaron is a highly skilled professional who loves his job, theatre, and audiences. His vitality is infectious and he works hard at making impossible things happen, just so you’ll leave scratching your head in wonder when it’s over.

This is entertainment for grown-ups so leave the kids at the hotel, there are some bawdy moments and clever innuendo. The tiny East Lakeview hidden gem offers up a lot of warmth and entertainment at a reasonable cost. You may even BYOB if you like to imbibe.

Magic Penthouse really hit the spot after a long workday! I went solo and was immediately introduced to fun, like-minded people. I was transported into a world of multiple live, simultaneous shows. It was a feast for the senses and the hosts treating me like a VIP make me feel like an included part of the overall experience. The venue was a colorful and lively Latin American theme, with top notch drinks and the plentiful food was super on point. The acts combined humor, skill, and world class magic knowledge. I honestly can't say enough about how impressed I was. I would highly recommend this entertainment concept with no reservations. If you haven't visited already, get your tickets now!

We heard much about Packo’s and had to try. The chicken Paprikás was super with large portions. Would have loved to have tried the cabbage rolls but they were out that night.

The guided tour of the Auditorium Theatre is an absolute must for history buffs and Chicago enthusiasts! Length ranges from 1.5-2 hours and the tour includes the main floor, balconies, lobby, orchestra pit, dressing rooms, and standing on the stage! Our guide, John P., was a wealth of knowledge and has a deep love for what he does. We thoroughly enjoyed this unique experience! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is one of the best venues in Chicago to see live music, from blue grass to jazz to popular indy acts. Also, offers an amazing array of music classes for all ages and levels, including songwriting classes. And if you are looking for a high-quality place to buy instruments, this is a great place to do that too!

Neil Tobin is a master storyteller, illusionist and lends the apprpriate spookiness to an already spooky environment. I very much enjoyed the show and was drawn in by the atmosphere created by Neil and The Castle. The intimate setting was perfect. I would highly recommend this performance for the great storytelling and illusions. A really fun time.

David Parr and Joe Diamond are masters of entertainment. Definitely one of the best magic shows you can see for up close and personal magic. I won't give away any tricks or secrets but I will say my wife was called up on stage to assist in David Parr's world famous "Does this trick ring a bell routine". You can search that one online. Completely unbelievable! Joe Diamond bent steel with his mind and he bent our minds with his mentalism. We brought our 9 and 7 years olds who also had a great time and love doing magic at home. We had a great time and after the show Joe and David were very gracious and beyond friendly. They signed autographs and took pictures and were happy to talk with the audience. My advice to seeing the show is plan ahead especially if you are out of town. Traffic at that time of day on a Wednesday is not great. Get down there early, eat at one of the great restaurants in Lincoln Park. Some offer discounts with your Magic Cabaret tickets which you can pick up in advance at the box office. We used a parking app and got discounted parking a short few blocks away. You can also search for discounted tickets to the show but it is well worth the value at full price. We will go again and we are looking forward to checking out David and Joe's other projects!
