- GlobalExecBowling Green, OH500 contributionsFrom walking into the well-appointed clubhouse, to the spacious pre-outing lunch in the large, and airy dining room, this place is nothing short of first-class. Attentive staff, great selection in the pro shop, and a pre-golf lunch special for less than $10!! And then you proceed to the course...absolutely spectacular!! It's tough to beat fall golf, but to play it in ideal conditions and an impeccable, challenging course is as good as it gets. We are already planning next years adventure to play the other course at this complex.Written 28 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Andrew MChicago, IL30 contributionsGreat layout ; well maintained. This course has it all for a city center golf course. The second green has an epic view of the Chicago skyline. Hole five is s beautiful par five hugging the lakeshore. ****Be advised this course does cater to the slow or beginner golfer***Written 10 October 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - amwys4Midwest81 contributionsThis is a pretty nice public course.
I was recently on the course and was quite please to see it was not a muddy mess after some pretty unpleasant rainy days.
The course has its share of challenging holes. There are couple of 5 par holes which are close to 500 yards.
You have a hole or two where you can catch a glimpse of Lake Michigan.
There are far too many geese on the course, but you can get through it. Please watch were your stepping because the geese leave packages all over the place.
The course does offer a decent selection of gold gear just in case you have left something at home. I have to imagine the items are fairly pricey, but they are available.
The carts could be a little peppier, but they do the trick if you don't want to walk 18 holes.
They seem to keep the course up pretty well so go on out and give them a try. Remember to look our for the geese, because some of them are not too friendly.

We knew it was only 9 holes which was fine since we were in Chicago for just a couple days & had a full itinerary. The clubhouse was amazing. Looks like something from the Great Gadsby. Looks like they are trying to bring it back as a historical bldg (going to take a lot of work). I was told the site was part of the 1893 Chicago Exposition. The course was in decent shape for August & fun to play. The only drawback was that the views on holes on the Lake were obstructed by the practice facility, overgrown vegetation & large objects used to control erosion.Written 28 August 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - tommymich30Chicago, IL7 contributionsGreat nine hole course to fit in a little golf. Only probably is they are always crowded and the round usually takes 2.5 to 3 hours. But if you have time it's a fun actually challenging course for a good price!Written 13 March 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
