This is a very cool ballpark! It is a very nice park with lots of character! It’s a great way to spend an afternoon in Chicago!

Loved this zoo. Plenty to see and do and it’s all free! There are lots of refreshments venues and maps to find your way around. It was a lovely sunny day and was quite busy but didn’t stop us seeing the animals we wanted to. Great for everybody of all ages.

I would recommend you visit this zoo especially instead of the Shedd Aquarium which is not worth a visit.

We walked through the free zoo and it was quite nice, but there were very few animals to see! We did see the seals, flamingos, and a deer.

A pleasant oasis near the zoo that is well worth a visit. It is pretty small, but has a beautiful set of plants grouped into several rooms by local.

The Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum at 2430 North Cannon Drive, at the corner of Cannon and Fullerton Avenue, is one of several historical and educational attractions that make Lincoln Park one of the most popular tourist destinations in Chicago. Opened in 1999, it focuses on the natural history of the Chicago region. Operated by the Chicago Academy of Sciences, the museum traces its history to the founding collection of the academy in 1857. The first of what eventually has become 11 Chicago museum-in-the-parks, the current facility was built on the southeastern banks of the North Pond with the financial support of benefactor Peggy Notebaert. Today, the museum is known for its live butterfly house, called Butterfly Haven. Other long-term habitat exhibitions and botanic recreations around the building include City Science House, Water Lab and Wilderness Walk. Also displays about the ecological history of the Illinois region. The butterfly house features more than 200 species of native and exotic butterflies. The museum is conducting an ongoing scientific effort to study, care and breed native butterflies for species population support in the Chicago area.

Chicago has 26 miles of beaches, yes you heard it right, 26 miles of beaches. when you hear Chicago, you imagine the Chicago skyline with the river, and tall buildings, downtown but it also has a fab beach just north of the Mag mile (Michigan Avenue).

North Avenue Beach is one of the most popular swimming spots in Chicago. it is a great one for families. Looking onto the water at North Avenue, this beach has it all. To the right is the city view we all know and love, The sandy beach has volleyball courts (like 100s of courts), plenty of space for visitors to stretch out, and multiple things to do nearby.

It is a nice spot perfect for relaxing, biking, and running. the beach features a unique and popular beach house which has something for everyone and is permanently docked along this popular beach

view from here is amazing and it's other side of the Chicago skyline (opposite to what you see from the Museum campus). John Hancock building dominates this skyline

The parking fee is too much though.
For 2 hours or less- it was $21
    2-4 Hours = $28

The Mercury Theater is a very quaint and intimate theater. There isn’t a bad seat in the house. The sound was excellent. I attended the Women of Soul production; it was awesome.

A Frank Lloyd Wright inspired garden, in the middle of the city, by the lake. Just a fantastic place to visit and sit around. One of the quintessential part of Chicago!

Beautiful, intimate theater. Our seats in Section 4 near the back were perfect to see and hear the performance and to feel part of the action of The Choir of Man. Highly recommend.

The best spot for independent cinema in Chicago. Good balance of international, indie, and cult movies. Good atmosphere and friendly staff in a nice, walkable neighborhood.

Whenever I drive past or walk past the Elks National Memorial in Chicago, I am reminded of the time, so many years ago, that my father pointed it out to me. He was a loyal and dedicated member of the Elks and, as a veteran of World War II, he was proud that the Elks had built such a magnificent structure as a tribute to the bravery, loyalty and dedication of the thousands of Elks who had fought and died for our country. Located at 2750 North Lakeview Avenue, at the southwest corner of Diversey and Sheridan, across from Lincoln Park, and close to the park's Goethe Monument and statue of Alexander Hamilton, the Beaux Arts-style domed building has been described as one of the most magnificent war memorials in the world. Constucted between 1924 and 1926, it was built with fine marble imported from Greece, Austria, France, Belgium and Italy, as well as Tennessee, Alabama, Vermont and Missouri. High quality limestone came from Indiana. It features sculptures by Adolph Weinman, Laura Gardin Fraser and James Earle Fraser and murals by Eugene Savage and Edwin Blashfield. The rotunda features murals and statues depicting the Elks' four cardinal virtues--charity, justice, brotherly love and fidelity. In 2003, the city of Chicago granted memorial landmark status. The building also serves as the national headquarters of the Elks.
