Our driver reached hotel on time. There was prox 2 hrs drive to Alleppey from our cochin hotel. Houseboat cruew were waiting for us. We had 4 hrs cruise and they served delicious kerala lunch and Tea snacks. Amazing experience. Will come to Kerala again with family and will contact you guys again. Pros:
- A nice day trip to see some of the natural beauty of the area.
- Nice views at the top and bottom of the Athirappilly falls. enjoy the mist from the falls from the bottom.
- Lots of monkeys at the Athirappilly falls. But beware, they are greedy and try to steal any food you have, whether an ice cream from your hand or foods from a tote bag.
- A pleasant stop at a suspension bridge over the river. Beautiful views, places to relax on both sides of the river, and a nice break from the car ride.
- Vazhachal falls and a third (if water is flowing) are nice as well, even if visible only from an observation area.
- Very good lunch in a nice resort restaurant.
- The guide/driver took us via the forest, offering a chance to see wild elephants. (Although we didn't spot any, just some evidence they were there!)
- The fact the tour was all-inclusive (except for tips) was great!
Cons:
- It's a long car ride to and from, over mostly rough roads.
- To access Athirappilly falls, it's a moderate hike. The hike down to the base (and back up) is more challenging, so just be aware that moderate athletic ability is needed to see the falls!
- Despite signs warning of fines, lots of people throwing trash on the ground especially at the falls. You'd think the park management would take a lounging staff member at the front gate and assign them to scold litterers.
Summary: A nice trip outside the city. Be sure to stop as often as possible to see as much as possible. This was a very last minute trip, so it was imperative that the tour operator was able to quickly pull together options for me (3 days). Anoop at Saffron was amazing - right from the initial contact, he understood my requirements based on what type of trip we were looking for and what was good and what to avoid. Anoop created a bespoke package for us within a few days, and that gave me the confidence to commit and book my tickets from London to Kochi.
We had one driver for the tour, who went at our pace, and stopped where we wanted and when we wanted to break. There was no pressure or rushing around - which is really important when the key element is to relay and enjoy the views as you travel through the amazing countryside.
The hotels that Anoop suggested were great, and cannot complain on the rooms, food or service. Just truly brilliant.
Lastly, Anoop also recommended a lovely Ayurveda resort, Nihara, where we spent the last week of our trip. This was again a real gem, as otherwise it’s quite challenging to choose an Ayurveda centre from the dozens that are advertised when visiting from abroad.

It was a great experience: my driver was great, very knowledgeable (and a good photographer): he would suggest certain sights and shops on the way from Kochi to Munnar, making the long drive fun and entertaining. Kolukkumalai at sunrise is gorgeous! The staff at Bout India is extremely friendly,professional and they really care. Our trip was perfectly planned by Nitesh after chatting on WhatsApp and by email. The planning was quick and seamless. He customized our trip to accommodate our interests. Through out our trip we felt very safe with our wonderful driver Mr. Manimaran, he is a true gem. I am well travelled and went to many interesting destinations, but this trip was the most memorable one. Chahat check in with us every day to make sure we were comfortable and asked if we needed anything. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly.

He had a list of places to see, but we really wanted to do some specific activities including buying sarees for an upcoming wedding. He patiently waited for us and then, when we were completed, he took us to other sites before returning to pick up the altered clothes.
We loved the laundry visit, driving the local streets, and learning about Kochi. Riya provided great info and lent us rupees since we only had USD.

Amazing, superb, extraordinary is not the word that can describe the beauty of this falls. We got an opportunity to see a good number of elephants as well as different varieties of birds. Our booking was rather rushed and last minute, so we had doubts, but everything was well organised. The travel agent got in touch with us immediately to accommodate some of our specific requirements as well as to help us with payments for park entrances since international cards were not accepted.
But, most importantly, our trip was excellently delivered by our hospitable driver Sooraj, who shared lots of interesting information about the region, drove smoothly and really went above and beyond for us (even, worked overtime) to make sure that our one day in Munnar was albeit short but the best experience.

- Nicholas C3 contributionsWe were looking to make a daytrip to Athirapally Waterfalls during the October monsoon, and I'm so glad we contacted Sree's tours and found our guide Vinod!
Vinod did a great job driving us safely from Kochi and back. I was so glad to have his expert driving in the city traffic and especially in the heavy pouring rain. I was glad to have an English-speaking driver, and I was glad he pointed out some of the scenery along the way to the falls, including the rubber trees, cashew trees, and oil palms. We opted to skip seeing a dam and hanging bridge along the way at first because it was raining too hard, but fortunately the rain had abated once we reached Athirapally Falls. Since our phones didn't work, we coordinated a time to meet up with Vinod after walking in and when the time came, he was right there waiting for us. After seeing more of the falls and the hanging bridge, he also drove us to a delicious weekend-only restaurant for lunch served on a banana leaf.
One recommendation: if you're going to make the long trek down to see Athirapally falls from below, I'd allow for at least a 2 hour stop at Athirapally falls.

Before one month my cousin also visited this place. he was visited only for 3 days but my plan was for 5 days and I had called some travel companies. and they sent me a pdf file. In this file, they provide the information on the 5 days tour. Finally i had purchased this package from the tripkro.my brother was also his package buy from tripkro. He tell me this company provide the service quality for their customers. We can call in any time. If we face the problem they solve the problem in few minutes. In these five day we got a new experience. All places was very different from the western side. we was enjoy this trip.
