And where it this...near the Upper Madison...nough said! In a great little fishing down!!! - PoppaP54Middletown, DE403 contributionsI have booked guided fly fishing trips with The Tackle Shop for the past five years. On all of those trips my guide was The Tackle Shop owner, John Way. These trips, have been different months, from mid April to late September, which means that John has guided me in sun, rain, wind, snow, sleet…on high water and low water…on the Blackfoot, Clark Fork, Bitterroot, Beaverhead, Big Hole, and Madison Rivers, as well as a spring creek just outside of Ennis. On all of the trips, John has worked long and hard to get me onto fish…whether finding the right fly, getting to the preferred run or hole, correcting casting and line management challenges, or just patiently tolerating my blunders. Lunches are often grilled along the river, and none have left me hungry. John picks you up on time, and does not cut the day short…other boats and rafts shoot by, as we patiently work the water. The shop has provided me with what items and gear I felt necessary to purchase…but never with any pressure to buy. This is a quality operation, run in an upstanding manner, with prices which are not cheap, but which are in keeping with the marketplace. - BLB3 contributionsMRFC is hands down the best outfitter in Southwest Montana. Do yourself a favor and book a trip on the Madison River. Perfect for seasoned anglers or those who have never fished before. Great guides, great shop, great town! - sstaggfayetteville,ar13 contributionsBrian is an excellent guide. He was great to fish with and very knowledgeable about fly fishing and the Madison. My 28 year old son and I fished two days with Brian and had a wonderful and productive trip. So much fun. I have fly fished the world for many years but this trip was special because Brian knew how special a father and son trip should be. Well done, Brian. Many thanks to you from Knight and me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Solid knowledge of not only the rivers we fished, but all things to do with water, bugs, flow, rafts and gear. If you're looking for a big ego and fishing tales, Garrett is not your guide. But whatever your level of angling is, you will have an educational, fun and prosperous day of fishing when you head out with Hooked Outfitters. Can't wait to go back next summer.
