Cool cool cool, fun art piece made out of two semi’s. Lots of great local small shops, I wish more places would do this. I will be back.

When at the Flamingo have a visit to the nice gardens, well maintained and then go find the Siegel plaque of the man who had the vision and money to start it all.

I past the sculpture during the day and night. I like it best at night when it is totally lit in changing colours.

Free and off the beaten path. Unfortunately it is in a rough area, so go during the day! Stunning and very moving, highly recommend for tourist and locals....one of the few free things

we come here every trip & spend a little time--it keeps being improved on all of the time--parking is easy to find--so very very sad--I understand this is our countries largest mass murder--right off charlston close to downtown......

I went to two of the access points – at Durango Drive and Aliante Parkway – in late September. Both have parking and information boards. There were brochures available at both information kiosks. There are no other visitor facilities and the NPS do make this very clear on their web pages. If going to the Durango Drive access point there are plenty of food and restroom opportunities at the intersection with US95.

There are marked trails from both points. I did the loop from Durango Drive. There are posts with QR codes to scan for more info or you can download it ahead of time. I’d downloaded the info but it wasn’t massively informative. There was no shade at all but, on the plus side, no dog poop and very little litter. Take water.

By the time I got to the Aliante Parkway access point it was too hot to embark on a further hike. I found this a less congenial area with lots more litter.

The Ice Age Fossils State Park is due to open soon. This will be quite close to the Aliante Parkway access point. The sign I saw said “fall 2023”. I believe this may be going to have some visitor facilities.

If you want the NPS stamp this is available at the Desert National Wildlife Refuge (which is a few miles north and has a lovely visitor centre) or at Lake Mead Visitor Centre. I got them to send me a Junior Ranger book by email which I printed out before I went. I presented my completed book at Lake Mead VC and got the all-important badge.

Who doesn't love Elvis? And here is a great statue of the King! And this is his city, well after Memphis. So come by and take a photo.
