- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA4,412 contributionsFree for seniors over 65, which was nice. The public beach is squished between two private beaches delineated by a yellow rope. You can still walk across the rope, just don’t set your chair there. The day we visited, the surf was rough, so few swimmers. Super clean, many families, clean restroom, small food stand. The area around it was a real surprise to me. Really lovely place to walk enjoyed by many locals. 1.6 mile, crushed rock path well organized and nicely kept and maintained. Multiple comfortable looking benches, picnic area . What a great idea and design.
