What travellers are saying
- Simon B17 contributionsWent on a bit of a whim, never having been before.
Very warm welcome, including our two little dogs. Dogs on leads welcome everywhere apart from in cafe and the play area...fair enough. There was a covered space outside the cafe which we could use.
Really interesting mock-up exhibits, air raid shelters, blitzed houses. Great views from the top.
They've made a real effort to preserve the place for us all to enjoy its history.Written 24 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rafael MirandaLondon, UK172 contributionsPlease remember that you cannot stay in the car during the crossing. The ferry is comfortable depending on the sea, there is a tax free store onboard and a restaurant and a bar. Resting areas and you can also rent a cabin for overnight sleep.Written 8 January 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Loulou490Midhurst, UK31 contributionsVery basic little terminal building with vending machine and toilets. But for a cheaper ferry to France you really can’t beat it. Check in staff pleasant and competent.Written 28 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

The church was closed, with no notification of when it would be open for visitors. I have learnt not to take any website details as gospel.
Secondly, the grounds are in such a sorry state of disrepair that it looks as if nobody has cut the grass for a very long time. This just spoils the look of any visitor to the church. If I thought it looked ugly, then how many others thought the same?Written 8 December 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. There’s dozens of cat statues of various looks and sizes.
There’s also a Victorian Postbox in the wall - quite a rarely bow.Written 15 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - HannekeLucerne, Switzerland31 contributionsEven if the weather had not been so wonderful, it would still have been fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The skipper, John, was great. He was cheerful, amusing and well-informed. I can most certainly recommend John's tours (have already passed the info on to other friends). Given the opportunity, I would definitely go on one of John's other trips.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
